Great fuel price on Jet A. Stopped on Wednesday, Sep 14, and everything worked perfectly on the self-serve pump. Stopped again on the way home on Sunday, Sep 18, and the self-serve pump wouldn't work. Unfortunately, it was also raining and the airport was unattended. We called all the numbers listed on AirNav (no answer), and then did a Google search to find the home number of the people listed on AirNav's site. Finally reached someone who came out to re-set the breaker. Yet, the saga was still not over... After filling one wing, the pump quit again. This time re-setting the breaker didn't fix it. After an hour of this monkey business, another local pilot showed up and pulled around on a lever underneath the pump and got it to work. Said he'd had to do that a few times through the years. High marks for cheap fuel prices, but low marks for reliability. Good thing we weren't in a hurry and didn't mind the rain.

Flew in today and found that the 100LL pump is back in service. Fuel price for 100LL is $4.00

A great place for Barbecue ribs! We fly down to visit the Hickory Log. They will come pick you up and bring you back. We always bring several slabs back home and the airplane smells wonderful the whole way home. Sorry to read about the 100LL issue. Hope they get that fixed soon.

The Dodge van has been replaced with a Ford for a crew car. The 100LL pump was out of service. Call before you stop in for fuel.

Stopped in for food and fuel last Monday. They now have an old dodge van for a vehicle to use if you need to go into town. The keys are in a lock box inside the office. If the driver’s door is locked you may have to jiggle the key around to get the door to open. Lack of lubrication I do believe.
