I landed heading from Kansas to South Dakota to pick up a few quarts of oil since I knew I was low. I couldn't believe the FBO didn't have Phillips XC 20W-50. I was in a bind so I purchased two quarts of Aeroshell 15W-50 for $10 a quart, which seemed pricey, but any oil is better than no oil. I was parked promptly and was not charged a fee even though I didn't take fuel because the prices seem higher here than in the surrounding areas. I didn't poke around much but the facility seemed very nice.

Arrived at sunset in my Stinson 108 on a very cold windy day. I am sorry that I don't recall the attendant's name--but he did a great job of getting me into a "heated" hangar even though it got things a bit crowded. Rate for the hangar was very good. Nice people.

Stopped in to drop people off. No one even entered the building. Lineman advised me there was a "ramp fee". I asked if they rented the ramp and his reply was that they paid insurance on it so we must get some type of coverage? $100 for absolutely nothing! Will avoid if possible in the future! BEWARE!!!!!!

This is my second stop at Otis at KEAR and certainly VERY happy with the service I've received. Upon my arrival I noticed a couple of jets on the ramp being serviced by the line crew. I was promptly met by an "Off-duty" employee that was getting ready for a flight who guided me to a parking spot. Was quickly topped-off and was back enroute to Denver without any extended delays. Very clean and well maintained FBO with an extremely friendly staff. I even purchased an Otis Air Service baseball cap for my daughter. I certainly would recommend a stop at OTIS for a pit stop or overnight stay.

The staff at Otis treated this C170B driver and wife like we were flying a GIV! Made discounted hotel reservations (Wyngate - very nice), and arranged the ramp side car rental. When a storm approached, they called and offered to put the a/c in the hangar. Also handled weather delay change in plans for us without blinking an eye. Fuel wasn't cheap, but the service wasn't either! Thanks Steve and Zack.

Very nice people, very convenient stop. Shuttle to Holiday Inn which was new and a very good place to stay. Hangared plane over night for $30 to keep out of potential T-storms. Nice pilot facilities as well.

Although regularly greeted by courteous staff...CAUTION: You MUST purchase a high minimum fuel amount, or pay a high ramp fee. NO EXCEPTIONS! You WILL be kicked out of the building promptly at 8PM. You will NOT be allowed to use the crew car after hours.

Ferrying my new Experimental PA 11 from FSD to VGT. Overnight EAR. Staff could not have been more helpful. Lineman met my Cub and tied down in the wind immediately. Limited fuel purchase but no O/N fee. They had arranged Ramada hotel pick up. Great choice.

A very courteous lineman was waiting to park us up front when we arrived at 5:00 PM, 2-23-2010. Then things started going down hill. Was asked to buy 200 gallons of JetA, I usually try to buy some fuel at each stop, but didn't need any this time, so paid a $100 ramp fee. At 8:45 PM I was told to leave the building as they were closing. Tried to negotiate a way to stay inside, but no options were available. Outside air temp was about 10(f) with north wind. Needless to say it was a very cold wait until passengers arrived at 10:00 PM. One would think for $100, you would get a little better service.

Otis Flight Service gives first class highly disciplined service. I highly recommend stopping there for fuel or to stay overnight. Motels and car rentals were inexpensive.

Stopped by on our way to OMA to visit the Arch. CFI Tom, also the lineman of the day, was very diplomatic in letting us know that to use the courtesy car we needed to leave a $25 rental fee or purchase 25 gallons of fuel. Nice facility under remodel. Tom was very professional and hangared our 182 during the 100-degree heat at no charge. Great folks make a great place and I agree - to use the courtesy car you need to purchase fuel.

Nice folks and a quick turn in windy conditions. They're in the process of remodeling the facility, but it's the people that make the place go. Would definitely return

A very friendly and accommodating operation. Even though we arrived over an hour later than planned on a Sunday night, the Otis crew had our rental car ready and running by our aircraft even as we tied down and unloaded. Same helpful and friendly attitude the next day when we left after a fun morning watching the Sandhill Cranes east of town.
