I've made 2 overnight trips from Austin into this airport. The fuel is self-serve and the price is the lowest I have seen anywhere. The airport hss security guards 24 hours per day and I felt comfortable leaving my Diamond DA40 overnight. This airport has to be great for pilots doing cross country training, especially great for a fuel stop.

Flew in on 6/9/7, Saturday, they left the bathroom door open since no one was at the airport. Fuel pumps were shutdown, power failure. Rented a car from Advantage and drove 1.5 hrs to Padre. Advantage had the car ready on the weekend and had a good rate. Flew out on 6/16/07, Saturday, no one at the airport on weekends. Restrooms locked and gate locked. Cheap fuel but need more services for passengers and pilot.

The prices for fuel are the lowest I've found anywhere. The new manager has done an awesome job on keeping the prices low. The FBO is always nice and clean.

This is a no-frills, few services, sometimes open FBO with the cheapest fuel for miles around. A great quick-turn, self-service fuel-stop, but don't look for anything else here.

One of two 100LL pumps out of service. Card reader for the reamining 100LL pump and Jet A pump required 6 passes before accepting my credit card. Come equipped with more than one card, just in case. Facility is clean, & neat and the price is excellent.
