Airport manager is retired USMC Gunny. He is one squared away Marine! I fly in at least twice per year. Gunny treats everyone right... Has towed my plane through ice/snow for departure and/or helped de ice her several times. Can't ask for better considering the airport is WAY out in the sticks. Thanks Gunny!

You can't find a better stop than this in upper MI. Very friendly crew. Airport manager introduced himself (Jay), offer some bottled water, and found us a funnel and generally a great guy. Combine all that with low prices and you won't go wrong.

Best place to stop on the Upper Peninsula! The manager greeted us at the self serve pumps and was very friendly and helpful. (Prices were good too)

Great place, great service and great people. Highly recommend. Listen to the manager, Jay (Gunney) on places to stay and eat. He recommended the Knollwood Inn and Restaurant. Great place and reasonable.

Perfect stop on the way west from Mackinac Island. The SS fuel was cheap (4.25) and the America's Best Value Inn (nice, clean place) happily picked us up and ran us back to the airport. (Owner is a pilot) Runway was in great condition with tiedowns available (bring ropes)
