Flew in today and had a wonderful meal. The place is beautifully renovated, the staff friendly and professional, and the food great! (love that chowder!) This is an upscale place and will be a favorite for many. Definitely worth going to.

I love the salads and the entrees - been there 3 times since it opened - the sandwiches leave a lot to be desired. I had one today - and friends the last 2x I was there - get the entrees, specials and soups - Fernando does a great job with those - recommend leave the sandwiches for a little further renovation.

Went to the new Airport Grille on 10/17. Phenomenal renovations and great food. This will be a hit and a terrific fly in food destination.

The new restaurant in the terminal building had a grand opening on 10/8/09-same name, expanded in size. Didn't try it, as when I walked in to the building there were TV cameras, and dignitaries celebrating the grand opening!!! KEWB just got even better!

The Airport Grille is under new ownership and is currently getting ready to start construction on a new, larger restaurant. Same head chef, Fernando Dovale, same great food. ETA August/September '09. More updates, as the opening gets closer.

Sorry to hear the restaurant closed, it was fantastic food. For those fans of the food and Chef, He has relocated up the road a few miles. The Roasted Pig 98 Nash Road New Bedford, Ma 02746 (508) 992-8267.
Response from Bill Whelan, The Airport Grille The New Airport Grille has reopened as of October 8th, 2009. While we are about a month behind schedule, we think you'll agree it was worth the wait. Please come and enjoy our new 99-seat restaurant, featuring a 30 seat outdoor covered patio with fireplace. Fernando (the acclaimed chef from the old Grille) is back as head chef, preparing his same sought after cuisine. Renovations were extensive. Visit www.airportgrille.com for menus and pictures. The new owners also own Sandpiper Air, so if you are flying, stop in at Sandpiper and we'll take care of your aircraft and shuttle you to the Grille so you don't have to walk. See you there!
