We are a complete general aviation service provider, in business for over 45 years, offering a full service FBO, aircraft maintenance facility, and a FAR 141 and 61 flight school. Thunderbird Aviation is also a Cessna Pilot Center and FAR 135 air carrier.

Very friendly ramp handling, cheap fuel with the AirNav discount, as advertised, and no tiedown fees. The maintenance shop also gladly provided some hardware I needed, for a nominal charge. This is a very easy place to leave the plane if you are visiting for a few days.

I stopped in on my solo commercial cross country flight from Northern Illinois and got friendly people, cheap gas, snacks and free water. I would gladly stop in again.

We returned to Thunderbird after the great treatment and reasonable prices we received last year. We arrived 3 hours early, but they were still ready for us with the rental car pulled up to the plane as we parked. A line of thunderstorms came through town one evening, and they pulled in the plane for free since they had some empty hangar space. Thunderbird is right on the taxiway for the active runway, so it is easy to get to and from even though there is some construction currently on the field.

Visited the Twin Cities July 3-5. Great service and support by the gang at T-bird! Rental car was ready and waiting. I would highly recommend this FBO! Thank you!

As repeat visitors to the Twin Cities in our PC-12, we've tried most of the various GA airports and several of the many FBOs. Each has its strengths, but Thunderbird at FCM is our #1 choice bar none. Thom, Chris, and the rest of the team have consistently exceeded expectations, providing big-city service at small-town prices. These days, that makes all the difference in the world. Keep up the great work, guys!

Stopped in at Flying Cloud while on a trek around the region building time for my commercial license and decided to choose Thunderbird based on past comments.. This was the best FBO we had stopped out through our whole trip that took us through Nebraska, Iowa, Colorado, Minnesota, and South Dakota.. An employee offered to take us to our hotel as the hotel said they didn't have enough employees to send someone to get us.. He wouldn't even take a tip from us! Not only was their fuel also the cheapest we had seen, but when I arrived home to go through the bills, they also sold charts for half of what we saw anywhere else. I will definitely choose this FBO again as a result of their courteous attitudes.

I've used Thunderbird twice in the last 6 months flying to KFCM from 3CK. Both times their service has been excellent. Whether it is arranging ground transportation, fuel, hangar/heating or getting the plane ready to leave they are prompt and courteous. Even their instructor offered help with giving flight following info once. The only thing is the paperwork seems a bit slow, especially as I am providing the info ahead of time. But that's just being picky... Great people!

A belated compliment for the incredible crew at Thunderbird. My visit in April was a great experience. I wish more FBOs would take customer service as seriously as these people do. Not the most modern facility, but the service more than makes up for that. Many thanks; I'll be back.

What an experience! I called the day before and guy on the phone was super helpful lining up a rental car, etc... On day of arrival, we were marshalled to the pumps, red carpet (even though snowy) rental car pulled right up to the plane, warmed up with the seat heaters on! Unbelieveable! The best service I have ever had flying around the Midwest. Upon departure the plane was preheated in a hangar and towed back out to the line. We only took on about 35 gallons, but were still treated like we had a GV and 400 gallons of fuel! Highly recommend without a second thought!!!

Dropped in unannounced today in a Cessna 172. Ground crew marshaled me in, topped off my tanks (6 gallons!) and plugged in my block heater. Service was outstanding. I'll make a point to stop here next time with empty tanks.

My new favorite FBO. Fuel prices (with AirBoss) are as low as anywhere. Friendly and committed to service. I used to go to the ambivalent FBO across the field. I will use Thunderbird from now on. Rental car was waiting at the airplane before I had the engine shut down. They offered to look after my bird if the weather threatened. Great service.

Had business in Minneapolis June 11 - 13, 2008. Picked Thunderbird Aviation for fuel price. Called in advance to arrange car. When I arrived car was ready and driven to my plane (Cessna 310) and people were very helpful and friendly. Building doesn't look great on the outside, but inside quite pleasant. On departure, plane was fueled and ready to go. Would certainly recommend.
