I stopped in today during a ferry flight of a 170 from Maine to Texas. You would think the home of AOPA would have a bit more friendliness. The self-serve pump worked well, but outside of a smile from the receptionist no one even acknowledged my presence. There was a lot of flight training (good to see) and the facilities were nice (both FBO and airport). Other reviews have noted great and friendly customer service, but I just saw an average airport and staff.

Flew through Frederick last week on a dog rescue flight and got a flat tire on the taxi back out for departure. 100 degrees and 8 very hot dogs in the back. Landmark could not have been more helpful. They shuttled the dogs into their hangar, pushed the plane to a safe area, and went above and beyond to locate a hard-to-find tire so I could get back on my way that evening. GREAT EXPERIENCE. TERRIFIC PEOPLE.

Flew in last night and rolled into the ramp at 8.01 and the place was dark so they are no joke about their hours! (Listed as open till 8pm 7 days) Luckily the Self Serve fuel worked fine and I now see I saved myself $100 by pumping it myself so I guess I can't complain:) Looked like a nice facility from the outside.

Landmark is very supportive of dog rescue flights (I.E. Pilots-N-Paws). They go above and beyond to ease the transfer issues related to getting these dogs to safety.

As has been the case with each of my visits, my visit 10/8 was a pleasure. My rental care was ready and at the door. The check-in was seamless. My departure on 10/10 was also seamless. I fly into Landmark when I need to go into Baltimore. I am usually at my destination in Towson about 55 minutes after leaving the plane. Not only are the Landmark folks nice, the airspace is much more hospitable too. Thank you all at Landmark.

Nice clean facility. Staff recommended a very nice hotel on the west side of town with good rates. Airport is busy but the pilots that use it communicate well.

It is amazing to see how this airport has changed over the last 30 years - and mostly for the better. Nice FBO building, friendly staff, and generally easy to use. Though I will take a moment to echo the comments about heavy traffic - and the gliders using the other runway. Make sure you've stretched your neck out well before coming here. The local pilots are also friendly, but there ARE a lot of them.

I went to Frederick, MD on an Angel Flight, and it was an eye-opening experience going through DC airspace for the first time. It is very active. Upon entering the pattern at FDK, there were two runways being used simultaneously. You need to be on your game to fly there. Stephanie (cute girl at the front desk) was great, and she had Spunkmeyer cookies ready. The restaurant is 50 yards from the FBO, and it was enjoyable. It is not well marked if you are new to that airport, so ask somebody how to get there.

Stayed here over Easter weekend. Service was good, not excellent. Thought overnight fee would be waived with fuel purchase, but not so. Friendly people.

During an October visit I found that their high level of pleasant service and convenience continues. Fuel and rental car were effortless and Candy Poole was fast efficient and friendly as she is each time I visit.

Right main landing gear light did not come on, on approach and flight instructor Ferdi Mack was very helpful with visual confirmation of gear operation and intro to Dave Kenney who quickly found a loose wire and repaired without delay.

Landed 3/13/09. This is a great way to get to Baltimore without the expense and hassle of BWI. I've tried Martin State. It is much less pleasant. Candy Poole is nice and extremely efficient. The fuel is reasonably priced. One can park 200 feet from the FBO door. Pilot briefing area is complete. It’s outside the ADIZ. I plan to use this FBO when I return to the Baltimore area. It's one of the best FBO's I've ever used. I fly a single engine plane.
