A wonderful FBO with friendly and efficient staffing. Very helpful guiding us to food and helping with Customs (next door) and rentals of life rafts, vests, etc for over water trips. Good crew cars and access to rentals on-site. What a full service FBO should be.

I flew my Cessna 340 into FLL last month to go on a weeklong cruise. SheltAir provided me with very courteous & efficient service. They made a hotel reservation at Comfort Inn for us when the hotel was sold out. They drove us to the hotel when we arrived & they picked us up from the dock when our ship came in sort of speak. The only derogative remark I could make is that there is no telephone in the flight planning room or anywhere in the lobby.

Excellent FBO. I fly here about once a month. Line and counter people are excellent. $.50 discount for 100LL top-off. For pilots with new engines or new cylinders, they do not have mineral oil.

Great FBO with terrfic service: came in on a stormy night 6/17/06) to pick up stranded international passengers in our King Air. Staff was great and offered first a crew car and then sent a brand new bus with driver to the terminal to pick up our guests. No ramp fee with minimum fuel purchase, ice cream snacks and really nice folks. Facility clean, upscale, and professional. Great service with a smile at a busy international FBO.

Utilized Sheltair (formerly Jet Center) on the way back from St. Maarten. Lineman met the plane at the customs ramp with a cart and assisted us in taking all luggage into the customs office, stayed with us the entire time. Nice FBO, even coordinated the rental liferafts and lifejackets. Only downside is the price of their Jet-A.

I feel the customer care is not what is used to be at Sheltair FLL. On Dec 8, the pilot lounge had a constant parade of loud local pilots and employees, loud blaring TVs, and a snooze room that has two used, unmade twin beds that looked like a cheap motel room. I tried a much needed nap in a chair, but was woken every three minutes by slamming doors and loud conversations. The front desk was polite enough, but only waited on you after they finished talking among themselves. The "locked" weather room with the code stuck on the door had a phone that didn't work and computer that was stuck on weather from Oct. 5! I also had to pull my chocks and move the cones, as no lineman was around when we departed. I never mind pulling chocks, but I paid $159 for this? It's a beautiful building, but an FBO is only as good as its service.
