I flew my Cherokee Six into Gabreski last week for a meeting in Southampton. The rental car I reserved was standing by and good to go. I had a light breakfast at the diner, which was excellent, and the wait staff was attractive and friendly. I understand the FBO and restaurant are under new management and the placed looked it. The restrooms were new and very clean and everyone was accommodating. They charged me a $5 ramp fee and I was happy to pay it. FOK is an old airport with a lot of character and I will gladly be back. With all those runways the wind is answer in a right direction.

I flew a BeechJet into KFOK last week, and visited Malloy Air East. The building is extremely old and seems unsuitable for the volume of traffic into the airport. Upon arrival on their radio frequency, I was instructed to park behind the Citation on Malloy's ramp. Line personal were not present to park my aircraft. The gentleman on the radio was extremely rude and unfriendly. I will no longer chose Malloy Air East as my FBO when traveling to KFOK.

Great positive experience!! Flew into FOK this morning with a confirmed reservation for car rental with Enterprise (not affiliated with Malloy). Upon arrival, Enterprise advised me that a mistake was made and they did not have a car. Had to get to a very important appointment and Malloy offered the use of their van even though I needed it for 4-5 hours. Upon returning they would not charge for the use even though I didn't need any fuel. This is exceptional service and I highly recommend Malloy.

Save your money. The $15 ramp fee in addition to the $5 landing fee for a 172 is a bit much. The goal is to chase away the small airplanes and give more service to the jets and they succeed with flying colors. If you need to land on Long Island you are better of going to ISP.

Flew into FOK twice this weekend. Neither time was anyone around to direct me to a parking spot so I found my own. Apparently that was OK since nobody moved the plane. Services were non existent. I found my own chocks, moved my bags etc. Fuel was $5.20 (par for that area) and parking was $10.00/night. Facilities are really old and decrepit for an airport that handles such a volume of traffic.
