I fly to Rutherford frequently and always have phenomenal experiences with Stokes. They are fast, friendly and always very welcoming to their visitors. I highly recommend them for a quick turn fuel stop or an overnight in the area.

Ed could not have been more helpful and prompt. Mickey and Russell also provided much help and information. There was a flight instructor that was very knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks to all! - Jeanne

This is an exceptionally beautiful airport and great stop. You can gas and go or stay over and look out to the beautiful terrain. Stokes Aviation provided outstanding service with wonderful personality at a great price. The experience made me thankful I fly.

On June 21, 2011 I flew into KFQD with two passengers from McCrory Construction Co. In a BE-36, N387JR. Mr. Ed Robinson was the FBO manager during our stopover. Mr. Robinson provided us with outstanding service and accommodated our every need. He insured that our business was conducted without any roadblocks, and his attitude regarding his responsibilities is commendable. The FBO building was clean and neat, the bathrooms clean, and the overall appearance of the facility was very pleasant. Would you pass on to Mr. Robinson our appreciation for the manner in which he assisted us. We will have the occasions to stop in again at KFQD and will look forward to the experience. Thank you. David Anderson, Avn Solutions.

Yet another fine experience with a small GA airport. Stopped for fuel on way back from First Flight/OBX enroute to Gatlinburg. Was treated very well by the friendly staff on duty. Helped us obtain fuel and a sectional at an excellent price. Great FBO, would definitely stop there again.

Have used Rutherford airport multiple times and the service is always great. Big KUDOS to Ed and Chris on the wkend of Apr 8 for having the foresight to put the plane in the hangar, as high winds were forecasted and even worse when the storm came thru so did hail.

Flew in, in Sept. to airport, heard about the cafe every thing was great got there 30 mins before closing he didn't mind putting burgers on the grill they were great. Will be back great place to stop.

We fly into Rutherfordton regularly and can attest to the great service and atmosphere. The Cafe is a great destination and worth the trip alone if you just need an excuse to fly.

Made an after hours fuel stop and was really impressed. Overall impression of the airport was that it was extremely well maintained. The grass looks better than my yard and I have recently added sod and an irrigation system. Most importantly a staff member who was still on site noticed me at the fuel pump and came over in his '42 Willys Jeep and reopened the terminal and assisted in topping off my tanks. I'll be sure and be back in during regular hours.

Great service in my Baron. They treated us like royalty. A great area to visit, beautiful and lots to do. I'll be back for sure.

From Steve Chefan on 23-Aug-2010

We flew in for the July 4th weekend. Eddie and Russell gave us great service. There's a nice cafe on field and a mountain free approach from the south. We'll be back

From John Herring on 21-Aug-2010

Last year Eddie and Crew detailed my Bird, -421- came out astonishing and extended my need for a paint job 2-3 years. Always great service and friendly folks. They ALWAYS take great care of my aircraft, my guest and me!

Stopped in to divert weather in Ashville, NC. Great service, friendly airport dogs and nice facilities. Cafe wasn't open yet, but looked great. Will be back for lunch. Great service!

From Paul McClure on 06-Jun-2010

Diverted here at last minute due to weather at destination. Gregg fixed us up and gave us the crew car and took care of all our needs. Great airport. Came back on Sunday after a weekend of hiking and there were several locals at the cafe. We will be back.
