This past Wednesday I flew over to FRG for a business meeting. I was greeted immediately by two linemen, parked the plan and went inside to register. Had my meeting, took on some fuel (reasonably priced) from their self-serve pump, and proceeded on my way. It was a very pleasant experience, nice facilities, and friendly staff. I would recommend them to anyone and will return again.

I want to thank the folks at Sheltair for bringing sanity to the Republic fuel price situation. We used to fill up elsewhere but now just taxi over to the pump. I have a feeling you'll be pumping a lot of 100LL. Great job.

Lineman was EXTREMELY helpful in giving me directions to the self-serve pumps, which are not in an obvious location to someone who isn't based at FRG. This is probably the best kept secret in the NYC area airports, and likely to make me start flying into Republic more often. (To anyone wondering, self serve is over on the west ramp between N and P taxiways)Response from Leonel Rivera, General Manager, Sheltair Farmingdale Isaac, I am glad to hear that the line folks at Sheltair FRG were of great help to you. We hope to see you here at FRG more often. Safe flying and happy holidays!

Patient Airlift Services (PALS) would like to thank the Sheltair staff for helping out with the humanitarian mission we did on 12/10/11 to bring toys & clothes to the people of Gilboa, NY who were affected by Hurricane Irene. The staff helped to load both planes, carrying heavy boxes, and lending tools. What a great team effort. Thank you so much!Response from Leonel Rivera, General Manager, Sheltair Farmingdale Eileen, We are very delighted to have been of great help to you and PALS. If there is anything that we can do to help your team, please do not hesitate to ask.. Happy holidays from the folks at Sheltair FRG..

Sheltair recently took over the self serve fuel pump on the Echo ramp. They have lowered the price to $5.39/gal. I highly recommend using FRG as a fuel stop and using the self serve pump to encourage them to keep prices at this level. For the first time in the 11 years that I have had a plane based at FRG the price at the self serve pump is cheaper than any of my $100 hamburger destinations.Response from Leonel Rivera, General Manager, Sheltair Farmingdale Good Afternoon Mr. Torres, I encourage everyone to use the self-serve. High volume at the self-serve can and will maintain the current fuel structure that we have arranged up for the users at FRG. We hope to see you, and your fellow aviators at the self serve. Safe flying!

Flew in for the weekend with a C90B and we were all treated very nicely. Friendly Long Islanders with sincere heart for their work. Hard to find people that have respect for what they do these days. Went out of their way to satisfy our needs. 5 stars.. Will make this my consistent stop on trips to NY.

Stopped in for dinner on the airport. Fuel was a bit pricey, but there was no landing or handling fees. Service was very friendly. We were going to the restaurant so the airport firefighters came and picked us up to drive us across the field. We were new to the field but the tower controller was very helpful.Response from Leonel Rivera, General Manager, Sheltair Farmingdale Hello Mr. Schapiro, I understand you, and your passenger was trying to park your helicopter at the main terminal. We do have a crew car that you could have borrowed. Please do not hesitate to ask for a crew car. We hope to see you soon. Thank you for choosing Sheltair as your FBO provider.

My first experience with Sheltair Farmingdale was unprecedented. Upon parking our King Air on the ramp for the first time as new customers, there was absolutely no lack of motivation or initiative on behalf of the line crew to provide us with any service necessary on an immediate basis. Even with a ramp full of Challengers, Gulfstreams, Sikorskys, Augustas, and any other aircraft you can think of, they made our veteran King Air feel like the King of the court. Upon entering the FBO, we were greeted with a smile, a bottle of water, and a handshake from the facility manager, Leonel Rivera. A true achiever and professional, Leonel raises the bar in all facets of team leadership and has exceeded every expectation thus setting the standard for service. With key personnel like Johanna (customer service rep), and Andrew (line manager), superb accommodations provided along with paramount friendliness will ensure a perpetual business relationship with Sheltair. Spunkmeyer cookies and popcorn too!Response from Leonel Rivera, General Manager, Sheltair Farmingdale Donny, Thank you for your comment. I will make sure that I pass your comments along to Johanna, Andrew and the rest of the FRG team. We appreciate your business here at FRG. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do to help you, Kurt and the rest of the team. Thank you for electing Sheltair as your FBO provider. See you folks soon.

We arrived in a RV9A for an over night visit. Linemen were friendly and efficient. Before departing Leonel offered to drive us to buy the NY TAC chart we asked. He is friendly and professional. I flew into Republic for the first time on March 3 and parked at SheltAir. Although I arrived in a humble Cherokee, everyone made me feel very welcome. Jonathan at the counter was terrific and loaned me the crew car to get lunch. One of the other guys on the crew escorted me over to the American Air Power Museum (great museum!). Thanks a lot, everyone. I'll be back!Response from Leonel Rivera, General Manager, SheltAir Aviation Services Farmingdale Hello Mr. Houston, I will make sure that Jonathan and everyone at Sheltair-FRG reads your comment. We all hope to see you soon at FRG. We thank you for choosing Sheltair as your FBO provider. Safe Flying..
