Very nice airport and FBO. Great price on self service fuel. Read the directions on the pump, and it is easy. On a nice day, watching the gliders and tail draggers play is as idyllic as it gets.

Use the SS Pump often at FRR. Avgas now $4.25/gal. Fast and efficient. FRR has a small military display in the FBO terminal--interesting and informative. Watch out for the gliders though.

I used the self-serve terminal today at FRR. Good price 4.15 (as advertised). They have a nice new SS terminal computer. Very easy to use.

FBO staff is quite competent and exceptionally helpful. The potential for bad weather required that I delay my flight by a day, and Reginald kept me informed as to the situation there. Very friendly and courteous people. Local terrain is beautiful and can be challenging due to the mountain wind stream. If approached from the south, ATC will require at least 5000' which makes it important to descend quickly for the pattern. Great experience.
