We flew in late one afternoon. A friend has a hangar on the airport, so we parked our plane there for the night. The next day, I called over for gas. They sent a truck to our hangar and fueled us there. They also were able to take payment at the truck, which greatly helped get us on our way quicker. This is a fantastic little airport for a large city.

I travel between Austin TX and Eureka CA every month. I previously stopped at Goodyear for the night but started landing at Glendale because of its proximity to hotels and restaurants. This was the best decision I have made as the folks at Glendale Aero have gone well above what could be expected from an FBO. On my last trip they called me late Friday to tell me they discovered I had a flat tire on my plane. Their shop stayed open late to repair it so I would not be stranded until Tuesday, as it was a holiday weekend. Needless to say I am very grateful for the outstanding service.

4 Day stay with Cessna 340. Multiple flights, multiple fuelings to stay with weight/balance on local flights. Perfect service again at Glendale Aero. THANKS, Carl!
From Steven Bral on 11-Dec-2015

The Ramp and Marshall guy and the front desk representative where very good to me. I was in transit on a Saturday night. They could not get me a car to rent because the car rental agencies were closed. The hotels near them were booked up and thanks to the front desk for her help in all. However, she did call her supervisor to ask if I could use the crew car when it arrived and he told her no. So, without transportation and a hotel I was forced to fly to Goodyear Airport. My two stars go to the two people who did their best to help me but, their hands were tied and their manager was not willing to help. I was delivering a twin Cessna 337 Skymaster to its new owner. From Ormond Beach Florida to Willows California.

Response from -Carl Brandenburg, Operations Manager, Glendale Aero Services
I would like to offer our sincere apologies to Mr. Bral for his experience at Glendale, and assure him that it is not typical. After researching his visit, I can assure you that Management was never consulted at any time. The employee who assisted him is no longer with our organization. We sincerely hope for another opportunity to speak with him and earn his business. 623-877-3333.

From Douglas McRae on 26-Jun-2015

Arrived flying a turboprop. We were treated very well by all at this FBO. Fuel was high $ compared to others in the area. When ready to go the next day, we were told the GPU fee was $40, but they would discount to $20 (after buying over $600 in Jet A). Flew throughout TX, AZ, CA and OR with no GPU fees. Need to re-evaluate excessive fees.

Response from Carl Brandenburg, Operations Manager, Glendale Aero Services
Glendale Aero Services would like to thank Mr. McRae for his kind words regarding our service, and address his concerns regarding pricing. As of 6/29/15, our retail Jet A price is between $.19 and $1.25 less than any of the four reliever airports West or North of PHX International. Our policy has been to collect a small fee to partially recover costs for value added services (lavatory service, oxygen service, and ground power units) in order to keep fuel prices lower than our competitors. The vast majority of our fuel customers experience an overall lower cost visit by separating these services from the cost of fuel. We sincerely appreciate the honest feedback and will give due consideration when reviewing this business model.
