Flew in for a few days (Seaplane rating at Jack Brown's and some time in the Stearman with Tim Preston). This is a fantastic airport with great people. Debbie the airport manager is friendly and provided me with great assistance during my stay. Self Service Fuel is priced competitively. A great place to stay in Central Florida, the closest airport to Fantasy of Flight.

Best FBO I have been to in some time. This is what it is all about - genuinely friendly people; great restaurant inside the beautiful, well-maintained terminal building; reasonable fuel prices; and admirable focus at this airport on building GA through flight training and fun flying. Had a great experience!

Flew in with friends... Heidi K at HOVA took great care of us as always. They have good fuel prices too. Try Pappy’s if you are looking for great food and a friendly staff. Tim and Peggy Preston can even check you out in a Stearman.. If flying that spam can is getting boring. Always a great airport experience at GIF.

Flew into KGIF on 22 December for quick weekend of seeing family and dropping off presents. Tristan met us at the plane with the golf cart as soon as we shut down and even helped us load presents from the plane to the cart. After a great hamburger at Pappys restaurant (on the field), they carried us back out so I could give my dad a tour of the plane (at 85, it would have taken him awhile to walk out to it). FIrst class all the way and treated us like we were flying a Lear or Gulfstream even though we were in an Aztec. Very friendly to small planes! Can't wait to stop in next time.

Ditto on all the great remarks already said. HOVA was very helpful and friendly. When the SS pump was down, the lineman fueled us from the truck and honored the SS price. I've stayed at several airports in Florida, but Gilbert field is top on my list!

Tristan was extremely friendly and helpful. The only downside was that the self-serve pump wasn't working; but that is scheduled to be replaced. The facility has wifi and computer services for briefings. With a restaurant on-site, who could ask for more?

Our first visit here and very favorable! I called HOVA the day before to find a breakfast restaurant somewhere nearby and Tristan told me about Pappy's Restaurant, right in the pretty and new terminal building. (As of this writing, Pappy's had yet to create a listing on AirNav, which is always helpful for pilots). We flew in from St. Petersburg Sunday a.M., and were greeted on the ramp by a friendly lineman (which happened to be Tristan). We had a delicious breakfast at Pappy's Restaurant, which boasts indoor and ramp-side patio dining. Tristan then signed out the courtesy car to us (a very clean newer Honda with awesome air conditioning) so we could venture into downtown and check out Richard's Coffee that we learned of online. A beautiful uncontrolled field with intersecting runways, just a few miles east of Lakeland. Keep in mind, you can visit Jack Brown's Seaplane School at the very west end of the field, too. We look forward to coming back!

Flew MGW to GIF to drop off boxes of personal belongings to my cousin. Paul Federico and his lineman at HOVA helped me out everyway possible. Courtesy car for dinner, comfortable briefing room to wait out weather for my final leg to VNC. Strongly recommend a visit to Winter Haven and HOVA.

Flew in to GIF today and parked at HOVA. They couldn't have treated us better. The restaurant was steps away, refreshingly clean, and the food was excellent with fair pricing and excellent friendly service. Plus you get a fuel discount for dining (I've recently spent much more for self service fuel at a different airport). Tommy and his staff bent over backwards (they basically treated us like old friends) to help us in every way including helping us with visiting Jack Brown's Seaplane Base. What a unique Florida experience. The day was a memorable success thanks to HOVA Aviation. I recommend them highly.

Discussed coming in 2.5 hours after closing with passengers that needed a rental car. Heidi didn't miss a beat. She said our arrival would be covered. We were well taken care of by Paul that night. He had the passenger and crew rental cars plane side. These people are pure professionals. Thank you Heidi and Paul!

I called the night before our arrival to let the FBO know we will be stopping in and to arrange a rental car. Paul made several calls to Hertz and Enterprise for me and followed up to make sure we were all set. He was professional and a pleasure to meet. The best service we've experienced in a long time. Great experience! Very professional & courteous line staff, and very friendly, helpful counter staff! Reasonably priced gas, AirBoss discount, and good restaurant. Enterprise & Hertz will deliver to the airport, and it's a close drive to Legoland!

What a great FBO! Stayed after hours to welcome me us in our light jet. Heidi was very accommodating. Extremely professional staff. This FBO is terrific and a wonderful alternative to some local high priced airports. I highly recommend it.

Flew in for lunch at Pappy's Grill. Hova's line crew were most courteous and helpful, got us parked, and pointed us to the terminal where Pappy's is located. The food quality is very good, the owner/chef is passionate about his BBQ, and my wife loved the huge fluffy pancake. Great stop for well priced fuel at Hova and a comfortable and delicious breakfast or lunch.

Flew in Saturday for lunch. The restaurant is in the same terminal building as the HOVA FBO. The lineman directed us to parking and was very efficient and friendly. He let us know there is $0.30 off fuel if you eat at the restaurant! For lunch there were a bunch of sandwiches to choose from in the $6 area. The sweet potato fries ($2.50) need to be shared as there are way too many for one person to eat. The WIFI was free. We'll be back soon! RWY 5-23 is listed as fair condition... It's very smooth, should be listed as Good in my opinion.

Flew into HOVA Flight Services for the weekend. Very busy airport with lots of flight training taking place. Paul took great care of us and even helped us keep track of our kids as we unloaded and loaded the plane. Could not have asked for better service and the facilities were FANTASTIC! Fuel was extremely cheap to at $4.65/gal. We will definitely be returning!

Called ahead and they help arrange a rental car to be at the airport from Enterprise. They stayed late for me to pick up a prescription before I left. Decent fuel price. Good breakfast on the field before I went into town.

Excellent service started prior to my arrival. I called in to arrange a rental car and Paul made several calls to Hertz and Enterprise to coordinate car rental on short notice and followed up with me to make sure rental was secured. I arrived late and after dark with wife and kids and landed and an unfamiliar airport. After touchdown the same friendly voice over the comm gave me progressive taxi to the FBO. Paul guided us in and had vehicle waiting for us. He was a true professional and a pleasure to meet. The best service we've experienced in a long time. Positive experiences like these continue to build and keep the "joy" in flying. Happy New Year and success to Paul and team.

I unexpectedly had to drop in to GIF on this past Wednesday. I was greeted before I shut the engine down with a wave and a smile. I was happily allowed to use their nice crew car for a couple of hours. Upon departure I asked to pay a ramp fee or something for the use of the car and they refused and just ask that I stop back by when I was in the area. Nice facility, great people, a definite future stop when I'm in the area!

A First Class experience from block in to block out. Taxi in was met by HOVA Flight Services' friendly and professional staff and fueling and service were second to none. Paul and his crew were superb and really go the extra mile. (And all I've got is a well cared for, but 52 year old Bonanza). Enjoyed the day at the airport with Tim and Peggy Preston and their Stearman and J3 Cub operation in the beautiful new terminal next to HOVA's Welcome desk. An excellent facility, KGIF is worth the stop just to meet all these fine folks and enjoy their wonderful hospitality.

Very nice, clean FBO with a friendly staff. Was able to borrow the crew car and was directed to a nice restaurant. The only oddity of this airport is that the self serve pumps are on the other side of the airport from the FBO.

Every time I land at Gilbert field I get nothing but friendly and great service. They gave me a crew car and I needed to extend my stay a few hours and they let me keep the car. Wow! What a help. The FBO is clean and well kept and has great facilities. If I were flying in to the Orlando area to go to Disney I'd land here rather than Kissimmee any day.

Dropped in without warning today by helicopter on a corporate mission. Ramp was large and freshly paved. Staff was friendly, proactive, and efficient. I explained that I would be there for a couple hours but I was fueled Jet A before I reached the counter. Fuel prices are accurately posted. The facility is impressive, well appointed, with free Wifi. Roomy, quiet, comfortable pilot lounge and rest area. Good eats at Cafe 92 across the highway. Sporty crew car. Easy access off Hwy 92 for passenger pickup/dropoff. HOVA (Heart of Virginia) has just taken over the FBO and signs are not on the building yet. Sign on Hwy reads Winter Haven Municipal Airport. Will definitely be back.

Friends and I flew in for lunch... Paul at HOVA offered us the very nice crew car and recommended a nice diner nearby. Top notch staff. I suggest you check them out.... And see the Prestons for some tailwheel training or a Stearman ride too!

Excellent experience! The staff at HOVA is very helpful and professional. Rates are very reasonable including the rental car from Enterprise. Great access to the Disney area. We parked our plane and did a pleasant 40-minute drive to Disney/Orlando.

Arrived 1 hour past closing time, Paul waited for us to arrive. After I announced my tail number and position on final approach, Paul welcomed us over the radio while (very cool and professional). They had our rental car ready, met us at the plane with the golf cart, unloaded the plane and had us on our way in no time! They gave us an awesome deal on fuel and made the whole arrival process a joy. They are true professionals and will treat you right! BTW, the facilities are awesome! Thanks from the Nelson Air Family.

OUTSTANDING! Veronica met my plane with a golf cart and insisted on taking my bags to the terminal/FBO, offered to tie my Velocity down, and arranged a rental car with no notice. I needed use of a freezer and power overnight, which Veronica and Paul took in stride. These people could not have been more pleasant, helpful and professional. Truly a GREAT stop!
