Had to go into Gatesville to pick up an individual. Talked to Pete and he arranged to run us into town to take care of business and even stopped to get us something to eat. Took care of moving the airplane up to the pump for best fuel price around. If you gotta fly into the area and Gatesville works for your plans, give Pete a call. He'll take care of you.

Flew to Gatesville from Waco Regional to fuel up. I had never landed there before. No one was around. The gas pump looked very dilapidated and there was no pay at the pump mechanism. Also there were no markings on the pump to indicate what type of fuel it purportedly dispensed. Completely wasted trip. Flew to Hillsboro and fueled up there. That's the last time I'll ever fly to Gatesville.

What a great airport to find in deteriorating weather and thanks to FBO owner, Pete Weston, a weekend was saved. Pete represents what I have come to find in aviation everywhere we go, very friendly, cool and helpful people. Pete loaned us his personal car and led us to the Best Western, a great Italian dinner next door, and then a fun night at the local club with a local live band. We will be back to visit Pete and Gatesville in better flying weather soon!

Excellent service as always. Airport manager, Pete, is a fine mechanic & can do annual inspections on most aircraft.

Pete is what makes this airport, he took us to lunch when we landed there to wait for some unforecast weather to lift. Fuel prices were very low ($3.70) and Pete made us feel at home. We will return.
