I arrived at GSP due to enroute weather. The ground crew at Stevens was efficient, the fuel price fair for full serve and the facility was impeccable. I hangared for the night due to incoming TRW, ($40.00 single engine) and being frugal asked for tiedown the next day as the weather was benign. I was treated like a valued customer and took advantage of the crew car, (Mutt's BBQ is great) and the WIFI/ pilot lounge to do a day's office work.

Flew into GSP in a 152 on a flight to Augusta GA. Even though I'm only a student pilot, they offered me a crew car and gave me clear directions to a nearby restaurant area for lunch. I bought fuel at a competitive price and they waived ramp and parking fees despite my small fuel purchase. The linemen were friendly and greeted me promptly and the lady behind the counter was friendly and pleasant and made my experience enjoyable. The facilities are 5 Star and one of the nicest I have been to in the Region. I'll be back for lunch stops at GSP in the near future.

Arrived about 9:45 pm local on 7/31/2010. The desk folks were friendly but did not seem very experienced. I do have to say the new terminal is nice, though. They had no courtesy car, but the airport shuttle (same one that serves the commercial terminal) will take you to the hotel/restaurant strip about 3-4 miles away. Came out the next morning to find a mild tire problem. My plane was parked in the same spot, not tied down. Maybe they moved it, maybe they did not. Part of the reason I'd chosen GSP was because it was the HQ for a major regional FBO, but when I called the MX supervisor on Sunday morning, he offered no chance of help whatsoever and no suggested alternatives. Then I learned that they don't have any sort of aeronautical charts for sale. Nothing. I paid $177 after taxes for 35 gallons of avgas and they also added a $30 over night fee. I will steer clear of this airport in the future.
