Called on 11-27 to confirm that the AVGAS truck would be available until 6PM on 11-28. Landed on 11-28 and called for truck at 4:59, only to be told "we're closed". Note that on AirNav website times are also listed as open to 6PM on weekends.

Received the same professional, friendly service as in my previous visits. Always a pleasant stop.

Spent a couple of days in Austin, and flew our Baron into GTU. Georgetown Jet Center treated us very well. Fast, friendly service and parked us in the hangar. We will definitely use them again on return trips to Austin!

Arrived in my V-tail Bonanza on a Thursday and departed Sunday. They welcomed me, treated me well, and kept my plane in a hangar. I was very impressed with this, as it seems so many places these days only care if your burning JET-A.

The signs on the hangar still say Georgetown Aviation. Line service was a little slow in responding but very friendly and helpful when they arrived. There are no tie downs on their ramp. However they offered me a hangar for $10/night with the first night waived for fuel purchase. Turned out to be a good choice, there was tennis ball sized hail in the area although the airport seemed to escape damage. I believe that there is self-service fuel at the airport although it is not listed on AirNav.

Great service and a nice facility. The line personnel met us at my plane and helped us unload our luggage with a friendly smile. When we returned today to depart, I couldn't find my Cirrus on the ramp. That's because they put it in their hangar for my entire 4-day stay at no charge. There were no storms forecast during our stay and I didn't ask them to hangar it - they just did it as a courtesy, which is great. While their fuel cost was a bit more than the other FBO's on the field, they didn't charge a daily ramp fee, which I was told that the others did. Plus their service was terrific. I felt that their current cost for fuel was reasonable - $3.45/gallon, including taxes. A great experience. I'm glad that I stopped. I would recommend them to anyone spending any time in the Austin area. Getting in and out of GTU was easy too. The airport is right next to I-35.

On December 29, 2008 fuel was $3.00 at the SS City Pumps.

Stopped here as recommended by others as more GA friendly than Austin. It was. Good stuff: line guys had rental car pulled up to plane and ready to go when we arrived. Friendly. When we left after weekend, plane was gassed up, as we requested, no problems. So thumbs up to the Jet Black guys. Bad stuff: Gas at Georgetown Municipal Airport SS Fueling Station was $4.50 a gallon vs. The GUARENTEED $4.30 a gallon at Jet Black Flight. What’s up with that? Last and this has nothing to do with the Jet Center folks...Can someone tell me what frequencies are in use at KGTU?? Nothing matched my (current NACO) charts that were in use! Oh yes...And a big thumbs down to Forth Worth controllers on this trip, they spent an hour re-routing me around - well, I'm not sure, the radio wasn't particularly busy - before they finally got me going direct causing almost an extra hour to be added to my return trip.

Come here often and always get great service. Folks always treat us well and they make room for our aircraft in the hangar when the weather is bad. I wish they could work more deals with the hotels in the area so we could have more choices.

Stopped at Jet Black Dec 20-24. Great people, great service tucked away on opposite side of tower from runway.

From Gerry Venteicher on 01-Nov-2007
Visited Jet Black this week and was very favorably impressed! This is a top flight FBO, with full service avgas for the same price as the city self-serve pumps. They and the newly opened control tower make GTU a first class place to stop. We'll be back!

From Bob Williams on 25-Jun-2007
This FBO is now being run by Georgetown Jet Center as Jet Black. I always find them to be friendly with good service, hangared my plane, pulled and fueled as requested. New control tower should be open in a few months I am told.

From Rick Jaffe on 28-Feb-2007
The jet center has recently taken over the other FBO, so there is only one on the field. Nice enough place. The self-serve gas is the real deal here. 100LL is directly in front of the new municipal terminal, which is in front of the tower. There is also transient tie down. The main terminal has a flight planning facility. Not sure it's necessary to go to the FBO unless you want your fuel pumped for you (at 70 cents a gallon more, at current prices).

From Johnny Carter C560 GVL on 14-Jan-2007
How do you say "SUPER SERVICE"? It was raining cold low ceilings, not a nice day. I was parked right in front of their hangar. This made it possible to unload my pax just a few feet to the ground transportation nice and dry. I was worried about overnight ice. What did they do..... Put me in their hangar at no charge. Now that is service. Wish all FBO's had this philosophy

You won't believe how nice these people treat you...Christmas Eve or whenever Janet and Danny miller
