I flew into HLG on Oct 14, and walked into the terminal building under the tower for the first time. The inside of the terminal is set up like a small museum, with lots of local aviation history on display, plus the terminal's interior has been restored to give it a great 1940's atmosphere...Feels like stepping back in time! Very well done, and definitely worth a stop if you're passing through.

Was in here about a week ago. Guy at FBO was great. We were not officially Angel Flight, but I was bringing a friend's very elderly father back home. He was having a hard time walking, we had no wheel chair - the guy at FBO went and got his rolling desk chair to help get him to restroom. If I am ever in the area again, I'll definitely come back to this FBO / airport.

Final destination for Angel Flight passenger. FBO was closed, but gentleman from Terminal Bldg offered services. Very friendly. Lots of historical things in the terminal building under the tower.

Good allaround operation, polite staff although the place is quiet. Lineman greeted me and had a quick turn fuel as requested. Lacks a flight planning room, which would have been helpful given the weather that I was going to be flying through. OVERALL GRADE: B+

Stopped over for fuel and a rest on a trip from St. Louis to Islip. The lineman was prompt and even brewed some fresh coffee for me when I complained that there none, not even at the old terminal vending machines. Will return again.

Landed here 12/6/07 to top off with fuel to jump over the mountains southbound in my Piper 140. Service was excellent! Lineman was out to park me, filled my fuel order promptly, and helped get me going again when the plane had a problem starting. Fuel was $4.53gal plus tax, fuel was a little pricy for the area, but the extra help and service made the stop worth it. I'll be back!

What a beautiful area to fly in to..Pretty surroundings to enjoy on final. Quick and friendly service, and nice lounge/planning facilities.
