I was ferrying my Mooney to KSRQ when I lost my GPS and coms. I squawked 7600 and found KHQU on the sectional and landed. Augusta had contacted the Folks there and they rolled out the emergency squad for me. Keith and his guy there (can't remember his name) rolled into action and diagnosed the problem and had me back in the air In 2 hours. They were great. This will be my fuel stop on the way home as long as I am in Greenville. Thanks Guys!

Made a fuel stop on Memorial Day weekend in the C-152. Grady took care of us as if we were in a jet! Will make this a regular stop.

Very nice FBO! Friendly staff, fast service, courtesy car, free wifi. What more do you need for a fuel stop?

We flew in for opening day of the Masters. Spirit's crew was excellent, greeting every aircraft, marshalling passengers, filling fuel orders, and taking care of the flight crews. When Bush Field ran out of ramp space, additional flights arrived and Spirit handled them all. Well done!

Update to my previous post: I contacted Keith, the manager of Spirit Aviation, the FBO of HQU. I explained to him what happened with the over fueling, etc. Keith immediately asked what he could do to rectify the situation and I asked for the difference between the pump price and the AirBoss price. He said to expect something in the mail. Imagine my surprise when I received a refund for the gas I hadn't asked for! This was not an insignificant amount and Keith's action went way beyond what I expected. No doubt this is the place to do business in Augusta!

Landed very late and parked. Called in the morning and was told it was no problem to leave the plane where it was. I asked to fill the Piper to the tabs and I would be back out later. Due to high winds I couldn't take my friends up, but I discovered the line guy had filled the both tanks to the neck...I wouldn't have been able to make the flight due to weight. When I tried to pay I showed him my AirBoss card and he'd never seen/heard of one before. A really nice facility, but a lack of training hampers this place.
