Sounds Aircraft is great. Airport is outrageous with their fees. Alight twin (Baron, Cessna 310 etc.) has to pay $100. To touch its wheels to the runway...Even if you are staying 15 minutes to do business with someone from that area. The City Council folks will lose lots of business as aircraft owners become fed up with these outrageous fees,

Flew in with friends and my wife in a PA28 Archer III (single). Was met promptly for marshaling. Given clear instructions and asked if I needed service. Bought fuel, ramp fee was waived. Enterprise counter right by Sound Aircraft counter. Car was ready. Paid up when I left. Had a great day, prompt and friendly service.

I have been flying into HTO for 35 years. It is no longer a GA friendly airport. The fees are excessive, the FBO is not interested in servicing us and there are no transient tiedowns (although there is plenty of space). Everyone needs to pay SOUND $20 for no service.

From Ashish Ranpura on 29-Aug-2014

I landed here for the first time, in an older "characterful" Piper Warrior. I felt a bit out of place amidst the bevy of private jets and helicopters -- the first time I have encountered a billionaire's traffic jam. The FBO staff were friendly enough, the facility is adequate, the bathrooms could use a remodel. This is not really a pilot-focused FBO and the lack of flight planning facilities and lounges reflects that. Still, the airport is under threat of closure and I would hate to lose it. Given the value of having a place like this, the $20 ramp fee and $10 landing fee are a very small price. (And by the way, my preference was to go to the other, less corporate FBO on the field, but they didn't answer their phone for 2 days and didn't return my phone calls. Their ramp fees are exactly the same.)
