Diverted here enroute to Oshkosh because of weather. Beautiful airport, friendly and helpful staff, and an absolutely OUTSTANDING Italian restaurant right in the terminal building. Gave us a "top-off" discount on the fuel. Very nice place to wait out the weather and a great dining destination too. Just check the restaurant days/hours, as I'm not sure it's open all day.

Nice people. There's also a "TOP OFF" discount if you fill your tanks (regardless of how much it takes). Gave us the crew car and directions to the hotel for overnight. Tied down and serviced the plane, very carefully for us.

Stopped in unannounced on our way home from OSH at around 2300L on a Saturday because of wx at our destination (LOU). It was pretty desolate at that time at the airport, but a lineman was waiting for us promptly and started attending to our fuel needs. The airport resturants were closed, but we were given the key to a crew car and directions to a local 24-hour fast food. The flight planning area was nicely equipped and the lounge was very comfortable, which we took full advantage of during our wx delay. Fuel price was very competitive, and everyone was getting a "15-cent-per-gallon discount during Oshkosh Week". It was nice to find a 24-hour FBO with a 24-hour Tower at a relatively quiet airport.

Made two separate fuel stops on 23 July and 27 July. Both were handled professionally and efficiently by line service, and counter personnel were the same. I like this stop for its convenience, reliability, and low fuel price. I highly recommend the small restaurant in the terminal, especially for breakfast!

Third try was the charm. Car was available as promised. No problems this time.

Flew in for an overnight in a C172 with one of my colleagues. Great and Quick service. Good deals on local hotels (Recommend the Drury Inn). Crew car available to us. Not the most comfortable FBO but we received great service and friendly faces.

Been in twice in the last year for a quick meeting in town. Both times called ahead to use crew car and told it was available. Both times bought as much fuel as I could. Both times when I arrived the crew car was being used. Last time my son and I waited for over an hour when we were told it would be right back. Told us we could us a back up car but then they said the battery was dead. Some kind sole took us to his soccer game where he was already late. Moral of the story is that you cannot count on them providing a crew car even when promised.

Price of fuel as reported by the FBO doesn't include 7% Indiana sales tax. Although Hulman Field is a great airport to fly into, you can save money buying fuel at smaller airports nearby.

Response from Sami Fisher, Customer Service Supervisor, Terre Haute Air Center
With the rise in fuel prices, I know everyone is feeling the crunch. However, the Terre Haute Air Center strives to remain a low cost FBO with high quality service. It has been brought to our attention that our customers would like to see our fuel price posted with the Indiana State sales tax included. The Terre Haute Air Center is now posting all fuel prices with the 7% sales tax included for your convenience. We appreciate your business and hope to see you soon!

Airport is very nice and clean. I flew in a few weeks ago and got great service. The place could use some cleaning and better supplies for transient pilots. I was very disappointed to find out there was no coffee service, a perk other airports in the area have. For early fliers, I'd suggest going to another airport for your pick me up. Good service, nice to see young fliers.

I've used Terre Haute Air Center as a fuel stop several times recently for late night long cross country trips. It's unusual to find a 24 hour, full service, yet low priced FBO like these guys. At other stops, I either need to go to a small, self service field (not fun in the winter), or pay very high fuel prices for the 24 hour service. These guys give me the best of both worlds!

From Fred Eisert on 16-Oct-2007
Price has been advertised as $3.59/gallon.... But this does not include the 6% sales tax, which raises the fuel price to $3.806/gallon.

As usual, our fuel stop at HUF was handled with professionalism and haste. These guys are always happy to do their job quickly and also do everything they can to take care of the customer. Refreshing after dealing with other FBO's that are complacent, lazy, and slow. Keep up the great work! Also, the hamburgers, hot dogs, and pork sandwiches were awesome!

Stopped in to HUF on my way to Steamboat Springs on August 5th. Line staff was very helpful; they met us at the ramp with a smile. Told us about the restaurant, went inside and enjoyed a nice fruit plate. I would stop here again.

I stopped into the Terre Haute air center on Thursday, August 9. Two friendly line technicians who promptly filled my fuel order greeted me. Upon receiving the bill for my fuel from the very helpful girl at the front desk, I was astonished to see that the prices had recently been drastically lowered. If you're planning on being in the area and need fuel, the Terre Haute Air Center is the place to go.

The staff at the service desk was very helpful to us upon our unannounced 10pm arrival. Used the Impala courtesy car to find a hotel in town, then returned the next morning to rent from the Avis desk in the same building. Weather computers are available from the flight school desks around the corner from the service desk. The fuel price is steep, but I appreciated the helpful service.
