We landed at Mercer County Municipal July 11, 2006 on our way from La Crosse, WI to Cut Bank, MT. The airport manager saw us on approach and drove out to the airport in his pickup to assist us with fuel. Very friendly and helpful folks at HZE...And fuel [at that time] was only $3/gallon - cheapest we've paid in a long while! I'm pleased to see they've updated their fuel price - which is still a bargain these days! Went inside to a wonderfully air-conditioned, very clean lobby to have our lunch. Two more planes landed while we were eating -- both also from Wisconsin! This is a great stop for fuel and conversation!!

Friendly staff, nice airport. You may have to wait 10 minutes for the staff to get to the airport, but well worth the wait.

I stopped in for fuel twice last week. The price was as published at $2.80 per gallon for 100LL. On both stops I was met by an airport employee to help operate the fuel pump. If no one is around simply call the number and they will be out in about 10 minutes. They offer a crew car and a good place for lunch is "Frosty's" just a couple of miles away. This is a great fuel stop!
