We were looking for any port in the storm and found this gem. Probably the best fuel prices for a hundred miles. Self serve fuel but they pulled the hose out and grounded the plane for me. Probably would have fueled the plane if I hadn't picked up the nozzle myself. Flying around the country we get used to great, friendly service. Its one big reason I love to fly but these folks are at the top of the cake - it’s like visiting close wonderful family. Got a courtesy car for the night and great recommendations for hotel and restaurant. They even ran and found several extension cords so they could plug in my engine heaters for the night. I will probably be back in the summer to spend a few days in the beautiful area.

Excellent staff, service and airport! I fly to Midland often for the best fuel prices and have always had a great experience. The building, staff and services are top notch.

My husband I flew to Barstow on 9-10-11 to fuel up both our plane and ourselves. Unfortunately, the office is locked after hours and the courtesy car is NOT available. My husband talked to office personnel on a subsequent visit and was told they always lock up the office and keys and they are not available unless you call them. The cell phone numbers listed on the business card she gave my husband are: 989-615-1103 and 989-513-2841. We were very disappointed and will not be visiting this airport again. Response from J.T. Rairigh, Quality Aviation Services, Inc. Mr & Mrs Trovillion, we are very sorry you had an unhappy experience. We genuinely desire that every visitor to Barstow Airport has a pleasant experience here, and we try hard to make that happen. We recommend that pilots call ahead to reserve the courtesy car so it is sure to be available for them. Not all airports allow you to reserve their car. We can make arrangements for you to use the car at night if you let us know. The pilot's lounge is always available 24/7 with the standard MI code (except that you press each number separately). And our cell phone numbers are always displayed next to the door to the pilot's lounge if you need help after hours.

I took a friend who grew up in Midland on his first small airplane ride and we stopped in at IKW. The lady on duty at the FBO was extremely helpful in terms of telling us the winds as soon as we announced our position on downwind and also volunteering to drive us to lunch and driving by my friend's house on the way to lunch. Great airport and even better staff. I will be returning soon.

Great place to stop for fuel. Self serve, but the young lady came out to pull the hose out to length as we were taxiing up to the pumps, and stood by to help as we refueled. This is the third time I've stopped there in the past several months. On one occasion, I had a bad mag and a mechanic was called to come out on a Sunday evening. Checked it out, but couldn't help us because he didn't have the parts in stock, spent at least an hour on the airplane and didn't want to charge us at all. Had to force him to accept some money! We continued on as it was just one mag on one engine [twin]. Very friendly people offered us a car to use to go into town to get something to eat or go to a motel if we wanted. I cannot recommend them more highly. They are in my top two, of all the fuel stops we've made throughout the country.

Flew in for 100LL and when I announced my position, the lady on the desk on her own told me the winds. We don't get that much anymore. I filled up and mentioned that the airport needed a restaurant and with that she offered me a courtesy car and told me that the local's go to Shirlene's restaurant. She gave me directions and it was only 1 mile away from the airport. Food was excellent. FBO was very nice, it looked new, and the lady on duty was very helpful. From now on when my RV is in need of fuel and I am in need of food, Midland will be my stop.

Ditto to all the comments below! This will be our regular stop when flying NJ to MN. Nice new facility and very friendly service. Thanks, Ruth. Try Logan’s Road House if you RON here it's within walking distance from the Hampton Inn.

Flew in on a Sunday to attend a family funeral, no rental available on Sunday so they were beyond gracious with the use of the crew car. Fuel was as advertised and they provided extra long lines for the tie down. Friendly, clean and accommodating... All you could possibly ask from an FBO

10 stars! Great stop. Self serve, but I had to insist to the fueling myself! The young lady had the airplane grounded ant hose pulled out to length, ladder set up before I could get out of the airplane practically; manned the income better than a lot of control towers; could not have been friendlier! Stopped on our way to Duluth from NJ and would go out of my way to stop there even if their fuel prices weren't one of the lowest I've encountered. They rank with key as the finest FBO's I've experienced!

Friendly staff happily assisted with self-service fuel. The airport is about a mile from a major shopping area, with lots of restaurant options, and a courtesy car is available. The fueling equipment is new. Unusually pleasant stop.

A perfect place to stop and refuel going to AirVenture (Oshkosh). Low fuel price, low rates at nearby motels, and very helpful staff. I called ahead for a late day arrival and tie downs were set out for me to use overnight.

We stopped here because of all the positive comments and, sure enough, they were well deserved. We did not buy a lot of fuel but were treated like royalty: snacks, courtesy car for a restaurant run, help with fueling. Other airports should try to emulate.

These folks are among the friendliest I've ever met in General Aviation. Their fuel is some of the cheapest east of the Mississippi and they bend over backwards to be helpful. I landed there last January on one of the coldest days of the year. The lady pumped my fuel in blowing snow in spite of it being self service. Although she plugged in my block heater overnight I still required pre-heat the next morning and she refused to charge for either! I returned in May. Same service - better weather. I'd fly out of my way to patronize them in the future.

Flew in at 8:30 pm, and JT stayed late to help arrange hotel and then lent the courtesy car overnight. They helped me fuel the next day and could not be more friendly! A great stop on the way to Oshkosh.

I flew into Jack Barstow on what must have been the coldest day of the year. The staff at Quality was warm and inviting - helped me push around the plane on a windy and snowy ramp, and offered a plug in to keep the bird warm during my stay. Thanks! Rich
