Stopped there due to IFR / icing at intended destination. Great place. Friendly service. Would definitely stop in again! Might even plan to next time...

If you're stopping for the dog, just wanted to inform you he is no longer with us. But Charlie says he's looking for a replacement. If you're stopping for great service and good fuel prices, this is the place. Wink may be in the middle of nowhere, but if the middle of nowhere is on the way to where you're going, this is the stop. Just an FYI for music fans. Wink is the hometown of Roy Orbison.

Fast, friendly service. Great place for a quick-turn. Stop by to give Charlie some company - he seemed pretty lonely! Crosswinds were vicious - beware. Also very, very hot (100 F) in early May.

After reading all the comments, I had to stop here even though I didn't need the fuel. Just had to meet Charlie and the "airport dog". Was not disappointed at all. Charlie is one of the nicest guys I have ever had the pleasure to meet and the "airport dog" is GREAT. Even let me use his truck to grab lunch in Kermit on Sunday afternoon about 16 miles away from the airport. Cannot say enough nice things about this place and I will be back soon.

I got stranded with a cracked cylinder. Charlie took great care of me with and the airplane. Took me over to the Kermit Inn where they had internet access. Charlie called the mechanic and when I got back to the airport the cowl was off the plane with the mechanic examining engine. The dog is a trip also! Thanks also for showing the museum artifact charts and air race programs with Orville Wright. Thanks Charlie and Kermit the IA Mechanic.

My friend Tim and I landed at KINK on Sunday Oct.16, 2005. We were avoiding IFR weather ahead in El Paso enroute to Bisbee, AZ (P04). We waited a few hours at KINK for the WX at ELP to clear. We were received very warmly by Charlie, the FBO owner and Wink's Aviation Ambassador. He very graciously fed us and showed us all his cool aviation toys. The "Airport Dog" (that's her name) ran out to greet us on arrival. I didn't know that Roy Orbison was from Wink before we arrived. All in all, it was the Sistine Chapel of airport visits. If you haven't met Charlie, you gotta go there. He is a great friendly asset to aviation.

Nice place! Friendly guy there - fueled our plane, and was helpful. His dog was funny - she stole the handle from the fuel reel and went zooming off!
