FBO has announced that it's closing in January 31,2012. The Town will maintain fuel in fuel farm, so fuel (both 100LL and Jet-A) will be available.

Another great experience this past September at Ocean Point - since I flew in on the weekend, Thomas was there, to help with the "self-service" fuel, (it's the same unit as anywhere else, but he is just nice enough to help), and a courtesy car that Dave apologized over the phone about (it was perfectly fine) to get the much sought after lobster roll at Red's. Can't wait to go back next season!

I flew into Wiscasset airport to spend some time in Bath and while there for couple months in Aug & Sept the ramp fees were very reasonable and David at Ocean Point Aviation was always very helpful when I needed anything. When departure day came I was rolling for takeoff and no airspeed indicated, so I aborted takeoff and went back to see David and he immediately opened up the hangar and helped me take off pitot and clean out mud daubers nest, if not for him doing that I would have had to delay departure for next day. That was very appreciated! They also come out to help with refueling. I look forward to flying into Wiscasset next year. Local people are friendly and nice to deal with. I rented car from Enterprise and was also treated nice there. If flying around midcoast Maine area, stop in and visit them.

Great service from Dave with Ocean Point Aviation and his helpful referral to a local mechanic David Warmack who made time to repair a low oil pressure squawk on my Baron. David W. completed the repair promptly allowing me to depart on time. Thanks for the great service guys!

Very welcoming operation. Stopped in for reasonably priced avgas after dropping off an Angel Flight passenger in Portland. Met at the well maintained self service pump by Thomas who offered additional assistance if needed. After taking on fuel, decided to stay for breakfast. Crew car was in the shop but Thomas very graciously offered the use of his personal car. Drove less than a mile to the "Miss Wiscasset" diner on Rt. 1. The diner itself is in "OK" repair but the service, food and value were excellent. Said differently, the "Miss" ain't pretty but she sure can cook! Looking forward to returning again soon.

I flew a B200 King Air into Wiscasset on 3/19. Arriving on the 21st for departure, I found our plane covered with thick frost induced rime. There is no de-icing equipment, nor is there a hangar larger enough for a King Air, so David jumps in and starts helping de-ice by hand. He didn't need to, and it certainly wasn't the most pleasant wx. Regardless, he did what anyone who puts his customers first would do. Given the cost of his gas is more than competitive, this is the place to use when visiting the central Maine coast.

I flew here today, and was treated to great service. Very quiet despite the beautiful day. I was loaned a courtesy car to go around the corner to a nearby restaurant and they offered to fill the aircraft while I was gone at the self-serve pumps. Highly recommended. Easy to spot the field on approach.

Dave & Kerri are working hard to keep a great thing going up at Wiscasset. They have bent over backwards to get us rides to get our sought after lobster rolls, and the flight planning area/lounge has everything you could need. I fly to KIWI both as a destination, and a fuel stop going to the Canadian maritimes, and have never regretted dropping in.
