I have broken down in many airports around the world during my aviation career. I have never broken down in such a warm, friendly, helpful, accommodating place like Jasper, Alabama. I was flying home from MS and the day had started out with numerous weather, rental cars, late meetings, and even the wrong drink coming out and my chips getting stuck in the vending machine. Then problems with the plane. I stopped in Jasper and decided to pull the plug on the day and spend the night. It was AWESOME to find the 24/7 fully setup open lobby. Where do you see that anymore? Danny and Joseph Berry came by and promised to be back in the morning to help. The next day, these guys called the owner, Gordo Sanders (Reno Air Race pilot) and the three of them worked half of the day getting me back in the air. To put the icing on the cake, they wouldn't take a dime. So, I just want to say, THANK YOU GUYS. If flying near this airport, I will always make my fuel stops here and everyone else should too.

They are the nicest people in the world and have great fuel prices and nice facilities. There is a nice patch of grass for our dog to utilize and a clean restroom for wifey. It would be a quick "in and out" except you can't help visiting a little with Joe and his crew.

My wife, son & I stopped here on our way home from Tennessee on Sunday evening. It was great to take shelter from a line of TSVC and to know that if we were stuck all night, the office was open and air conditioned and that a car was available if needed. We enjoyed the gas self serve (best price around) and the use of the computer to check weather. We will be back.

We always stop here for fuel when enroute to the beach and back. Always very friendly service and great fuel prices. Still wanting to see Big Red out flying, not lucky enough yet!

Simply unbelievable hospitality! FBO owner Gordo Sanders embodies everything that is great about general aviation in the USA. Stopped in for what was supposed to be a quick turn on Jet-A but due to a maintenance problem ended up on the ramp for most of the day. Gordo really knocked himself out to help... Set us up in his personal office, lent a hand troubleshooting at the aircraft, and best of all kept us laughing. Great service, great prices, great people!

The experience I had with Joey and Sanders Aviation this past weekend was one of the finest FBO experiences I've ever had. This is definitely a 'come on in and make yourself at home' kind of place. Facilities are nice and clean, self serve pumps are user friendly, fuel price was great, and service was as friendly and welcoming as you'll find anywhere. We were also assisted with our rental, which was waiting for us on arrival. We will definitely be back on our next trip through NW Alabama. Thanks again, Sanders Aviation!

Wonderful little field. Beautiful area. Quick turn fuel stop for me. Young man at the field fueled my plane (even though it was self serve). Friendly people. Nice facility. Would love to stop and explore the town a bit. Looks like a great place to stop and sit a spell. I'll be back if I can. $4.99 a gal on May 18, 2011

I stopped for fuel on the way to Tuscaloosa. Price as advertised, which was over a dollar cheaper than KTCL's prices. Everyone was very nice, and I got to see 'Big Red' doing aerobatics around the airport. Will definitely have to drop by again sometime.

Echoing what others have said--truly wonderful operation! Gordo, Ryan, Roger, and all the wonderful folks that frequent this airport are simply fantastic folks. We were welcomed with open arms (they arrived the next morning to find us sleeping on their couches!) and treated like family. Courtesy car available, 24-hour pilot lounge with couches, DirecTV, vending machine, coffee machine, microwave, restrooms and shower--I almost didn't want to leave! They were kind enough to call around and find a hangar for our two aircraft among regular airport tenants, as the FBO hangar was full. How's that for service? Of course, they wouldn't accept any payment for this either! Nice self-serve pumps and ample tie-downs as well. Highly recommended stop!

Great stop. Called ahead because I was arriving after dark for an overnight. They not only met me late -- but also handed me the keys to a great minivan with directions to motels in town. Great airport security and a lighted ramp with unbelievable covered fueling facility. Owner Joey Sanders has done it all in aviation -- and the place shows it. Beautiful facility and a hangar full of showplaces make this an exciting stop.

FRIENDLY! Incredibly friendly! Well-lit ramp at night with facilities open around the clock. Great fuel prices. Stopped in for fuel, and Roger fueled my plane at the SELF-SERVE pump, then left my receipt in the seat and chocks under the wheels while I was inside the FBO taking a break. These folks are building a first class FBO that's easy in and easy out. I'll be back.

Just an update on what is happening at Sanders Aviation. Now a bigger ramp for better convenience thanks to all the airport family that makes this facility a home to all those who stop by. For those coming by from other states enjoy the scenery to the northeast of us.

13 Mar 2010, called ahead to be sure they were open and had Jet-A and they were quick to answer. On arrival they were there to assist in parking and assist in the "self serve" fuel. A quick turn around and great prices. We will be happy to come in again!!

Sanders at JFX is my usual stop between SW Florida and SW Missouri. Exactly halfway on my trip, especially headed west if I have a headwind I plan ahead to stop at JFX. I frequently travel after hours. When I stop late it's open, warm (or cool) and dry, having everything you hope is there and more for a home-town style FBO. Whenever I've stopped during daytime hours everyone is friendly, and whenever necessary I've stopped at midnight - 2AM, it's open every time even when unattended, and fueled up, checked wx, rested up, bought a soda, etc. I read a few of the reviews and found everyone else seems to have the same great things to say. I agree wholeheartedly. Great place, great fuel pricing, great value. Will stop again often.

Came to Sanders after being quoted $60 handling charges at Atlantic Aviation at Birmingham airport. We arrived after hours, had a rental car waiting, tie-downs available, in-expensive fuel and all coordinated by Sanders over three phone calls. What great service! I will be back....

Stopped in for fuel (again) but the local folks were having so much fun I decided to hang around and watch Gordo work on Big Red. By then it was too late to leave so I got a ride to the motel from Lloyd and he picked me up the next AM. Great stop but the friendly folks and hangar flying activities make it hard to leave. Turned a planned 30-minute quick turn into a very enjoyable overniter. It don't get no better than Sanders.

These guys are GREAT! They stayed open late to allow us to fuel, then loaned us a brand new Ford Superduty Turbocharged pickup truck, not just for dinner mind you, but for the whole NIGHT! Upbeat, friendly, accommodating, ... Just one of the best FBO's I've ever been to. Came in the next morning at 0500 and the whole place was wide open for anyone to use. Wow! They folks deserve our business.

Was at JFX for a couple of days visiting friends. First time into Jasper, stopped at Sanders Aviation for fuel -- nicest self serve gas station I have ever seen. Joey Sanders is a first class guy...If you are in this neck of the woods you will not find any better people than those at Sanders and the local FBO. Every one was very helpful. I look forward to a return trip.

Stopped in for a quick refuel while shooting some approaches in the area. Wow! What a great place to stop. I am based within a 50-mile area and have just never been to Jasper airport before. I will certainly visit again. Covered self-serve fuel station is the best I've ever seen and I have traveled extensively between AL and MX over the past 7 years. This is a great stop and best fuel price within 100's of miles that I know of.

An ILS, incredibly cheap fuel (self-serve available 24/7) and a 24-hour pilot lounge with computer and coffee. What more could you ask for? Thanks, AirNav, for finding us this quick fuel stop - we saved about $1.20 per gallon by fueling here instead of our destination!

I stopped into Sanders to take advantage of the fuel prices but decided to stay overnight due to the weather at my intended destination. Sanders let me use their crew car overnight, gave me elaborate directions for finding my way around town, and were in general very neighborly. It was an all around pleasure to meet these folks.

I am the spouse of a Cirrus Pilot. I'm not a flying person by birth like he is!!! I LOVED this stop. The place is beautiful to look at, the bathroom is just fine and they even have DIET COKE!!! We took their vehicle to town and had a quick meal and a look around. The town of Jasper is very nice. My favorite part of flying is STOPPING, and this is a GREAT stop on our list. We'll be back. Thanks, Gordo and all the guys.
