The Sanders' Aviation Hangar is located on the West side of the JFX ramp, and has a covered fueling island. Our lobby is located on the East side of the hangar and is open 24/7. Vending machines, microwave, coffee, hot tea, bathrooms, and internet services are provided for your convience. More times than not, one will find frequent activity on the Sanders Aviation ramp, especially with the ATP instructors that are based out of Sanders Aviation. These instructors will assist you, if need be. If I am not there, I am probably conducting a check ride or flying the MD11 for Uncle Fred (FedEx). The courtesy car is a black Caddi limo and the keys are over the visor, and the rumor is out that Hoffa may have taken a ride in it (Jersey Limo). Just put a little gas in the old car and we are happy. Happy Flying and Blue Skies...Gordo Sanders (Head Cook and Floor Sweeper)

Stopped by for very-reasonable fuel and lunch on the way back from Chapel Hill to Houston. Gordo was exceptionally friendly and helpful, gave us an F250 to use as a crew car, and directed us to Jack's for a burger. Even tossed his quarter into the air machine so we could top up the tires of our Mooney. We'll be back...

Stopped for a second year in a row on my return from Oshkosh to Daytona Beach because of the excellent facilities and price. Again, service was excellent - they even helped with the self-serve. I had a plugged injector onmy 210 and I did not have the right socket to remove the injector - they not only volunteered their tools, but they could not find the required 7/16 12 pt deep socket and drove the local hardware store and bought it for me to use and refused to let me pay for it. Service way beyond what is expected with a smile and great prices. I highly recommend anyone in the area to stop here. Plus the Walker City airport has an ILS, which I needed for low ceilings. Easy in, easy out and great service! I will stop again next year.

After reading all of the nice comments, we planned on using Sanders for our gas stop while flying from Missouri to Florida. Gordo Sanders and his staff have set a new standard for customer service. We called the Unicom 30 miles out asking if they were open and got a call from a pilot that was also flying saying they were closed, but that the pump is open 24 hours and there was a crew car available after hours. Upon landing, we were greeted by Mr. Sanders and the pilot, and they insisted that we put our plane in the hangar in case of a nighttime storm. The crew car was unavailable so we were also given a ride to the Holiday Inn Express, and they made arrangements to pick us up the next morning. We obviously will make this a requisite stop whenever we travel in this area, even if we have to go out of our way. Besides, it is worth the stop just to see the T-6 that Mr. Sanders has flown in the Reno Air Races...And won!!

My wife, son and myself flew into Jasper, believe it or not, for a mini vacation. I always like the small town feel and Mr. Sanders and his crew were wonderful. Not only cheap fuel, courtesy car (1975? Cadillac Limo) overnight, but because the weather turned bad, Mr. Sanders (Joey) called me to let me know he was putting the airplane in the hangar. I would recommend Sanders Aviation to everyone... what a great place and great people. Thanks for everything!!!

We stopped here twice in the last week, and both visits were quick & easy. The pumps are new and fast. The ramp is in the process of being extended--which is a welcome improvement and will give better clearance for aircraft larger than our C90 (clearance is adequate, but depending on other aircraft on the ramp, could become a problem). The lounge is fine and the restroom is adequate. Approach & departure is quick & easy. For now, the GCO is out, so use your cellphone to call for clearance--the local clearance delivery number is: 205-769-3907. This is a great stop.

Great service and prices. Friendly folks and fascinating aircraft. FBO is as advertised - vending, microwave, couch, coffee, sink, computer for planning, table, and clean bathrooms - what else could a pilot want? We'll be back whenever we pass that way!

I also had a great experience at Sanders. Stopped in around 10-11 local time in a Pilatus due to the 3.60 Jet A. The well lit Covered Pumps where easy to find. As I was getting ready to top off, me being an older gentleman I was struggling a little with getting the hose out (Jet A pump is on the south side of the Fueling station). As I was having problems, out from behind the hangar come someone in a Corvette, who drove right up to the plane and got out and immediately helped me with the hose and fueled my aircraft up for me. The actually lounge was fairly nice, I was offered a fresh pot of coffee, and was given a landline to file with. Very happy over all. I will be back. I offered the young man (Mack or Matt I don't remember which) a tip for helping me, but he refused. Thank you guys for a great place for us GA guys to stop for great fuel prices.

Stopped at Sanders Jan 9, 08 and had to spend the night due bad weather. Mr. Sanders loaned me his personal Caddy to run to the motel and for dinner. They have a facility open 24 hours a day and have the old time hospitality that drew me to aviation 54 years ago. Please stop by even just to say Hi! Blue skies…

After having a horrible experience at the other FBO, I decided to taxi over to Sanders. I was meet at the plane By a student there "Matt", I think it was, he was super helpful helping me fill up, even helped me push the plane back, and further more gave me a ride into town to get some food. The lounge was nice, Big TV, Dish, and COFFEE! Very convenient. If u get a chance GO here, u get the full service Treatment for the SS price. Paid 3.60 100LL

Stopped in for the cheap fuel price, but what I got was the kind of service & hospitality that is gone from most FBO's these days, regrettably. Kudos’ to Joe for aligning himself with folks like Ryan of ATP & Sara of Shoreline Aviation, who work together to make every visit a pleasant experience. I hope to visit them again.

One of the best fuel stops ever. The airport is user friendly; ILS worked well on a soupy day, and the fuel prices the best anywhere. The covered self-serve island is the nicest I have seen. We used the courtesy car for a quick bite--I have never driven a limo before--you should check it out. We will be back whenever possible.

Great facility open 24 hours - fuel, coffee, bathrooms, vending machines, even an easy chair and remote to catch part of the game. Well-lit / well-maintained airfield. Thanks!

We arrived while Mr. Sanders was re-configurring the self-serve fuel system (new larger tanks). He let me borrow his personal vehicle (a Vette) and recommended a few places for dinner. 100LL is only 3.60 a gallon at the well-lit, and covered self-serve island. Overall, one of my best experiences at an FBO.

This place is another "Gem" in the GA game. Nifty SS pump that is easy to operate, and it functions great. Well-appointed pilot lounge that is open 24/7 on the honor system. The proprietor is new to the FBO business, and he really aims to please the little guy. This FBO has all the pieces in tact- -courtesy car, Wx screen, Internet availability, lounge, fuel and lounge avail 24/7 on the honor sys, fair fuel price, mechanical help avail, great runway and taxiways, lots of ramp space, and great attitude of operator.

Stopped after hours to refuel. Mr. Sanders is developing his own little aviation heaven at Bevill Field. FBO open (not attended) 24 hrs with an excellent, clean, well-lit facility (no straining to read the SS credit card machine) that apparently strives to supply the GA crowd with good gas without the usual mark-up. Coffee waiting to brew and restroom open 24 hrs. Cheers to Sanders Aviation from those of us who have to travel a lot of night cross-country!

I got my ATP & FE written and ATP certificate in 3 days from this "ALL ATP" location. I'm a military pilot so the program was mostly a formality but certainly not a "gimmie". The folks there are absolutely top-notch, good, friendly people. I honestly don't believe that I could have gotten a more positive ATP experience anywhere else. They send you some stuff to help prepare...Take the time to learn it cold and you'll be fine. It's a "big boy" program and they expect you to know what they tell you to know. If you do your part, they'll do theirs and you'll be just fine. I would recommend this ATP location to anyone.

I am extremely happy, not to mention proud of the progress Sanders Aviation has made at KJFX. Hopefully now the needs of the General Aviation community will be met at this airport. The staff and management I'm sure will always be attentive and helpful to the pilots and passengers that utilize their facility. Good luck and good flying!

Sanders Aviation sets the standard for all FBOs. Great prices and wonderful people make Sanders Aviation the place to stop for fuel, check rides, FAA testing, hot dogs or chili. Do not fly over Walker County without stopping.

We had a gaggle that went into Sanders Saturday (1/27/07) and happened on Chili & hot dogs. Great fuel price and good folks. Enjoyed hanging out, snacking and telling lies. A fun time. Will be a regular fuel stop for our group.

Very nice brand new spacious ramp facility with covered fueling station and 24 hour card reader. I stopped twice last week to refuel. Very quick turn around, nice lounge and rest room, low fuel price. The people could not be any friendlier or more helpful. A great addition to KJFX.
