If you aren't flying a turbine aircraft Atlantic at JZI isn't interested in you. While the linemen are wonderful, the counter staff looks at GA pilots like they need to scrape you off their shoe. The fuel is outrageous and they just want you and your little plane to go away. Avoid JZI and stick to any of the other Charleston area airports.

I flew into JZI on Saturday afternoon 11/12/2011, and was met by two really nice linemen. They helped me get my luggage and things to the terminal. The folks inside were just as nice and very helpful. Nice place.

Stopped here for a short less than 24-hour stay. Met Paul Aiken, the GM. Paul seems to be very personable and customer oriented. He said they are working on getting a self serve avgas pump installed, but like many seemingly simple things, lots of red tape to jump through, so it could take a while he said.

Stopped in for 2 nights in my Bonanza while visiting Kiawah Island. Rather expensive but the staff was very helpful and facilities were excellent. Service facility charge of $40 waived with purchase of 20 gal of fuel. Tiedown fees were $20 a night. Hanger fees were $100 a night.

Stopped in for a weekend in Kiawah in my Bonanza. Once again, the service is outstanding. The overnight parking fee was $10, quite reasonable, and the first day was free with fuel purchase. The fuel ain't cheap, but few places are right now. The terminal is beautiful. The staff was friendly and prompt. This seems a very well run operation

A tad on the expensive side for fuel. 15 gallons to waive ramp fee for my piston single. I have no problems paying for the gas as service was excellent and the facility is top notch. Great location for visiting the local golf resorts and downtown Charleston.

Nice FBO. Staff courteous. Facility fee waived because of fuel purchase, which is a little high but expected due to proximity to Kiawah. Tie down waived because they forgot to fuel my plane. Enterprise rental cars available. The only thing negative was they charged me sales tax on my fuel, which I hadn't encountered before. Other than that, I would use them again.

Was a little nervous about the high fees posted earlier but the facility fee (now $40) was waived since I bought 35 gal fuel and overnight fee was only $10 per night vice 20. The FBO building is very nice, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, the area very scenic to fly over. Will come here again!

FBO is only one on field, to my knowledge. They could take advantage of this and make life and flying difficult. NOT SO, they try hard to please and met all my needs. I think this is my fourth trip and will come back next year. Since my destination is Kiawah, proximity is great.

Just purchased an aircraft that was based at JZI and flew a couple of days there doing my transition. Jason at Island Aviation was great to fly with, John Rogers did a great job on the annual, and the FBO staff was as friendly as could be. Fuel is high, and 4/22 could stand a resurface.

Last here over a year ago, and I again found it a great stop to access the coast and Charleston. Fuel is expensive, but it is everywhere else too. The staff were friendly and professional. I stayed 3 days. Came back after 2 days for a local flight and I found my Bonanza had been moved to the edge of the ramp and securely tied down. There was a mix of pistons and jets on the ramp. Runway 9-27 is being rebuilt, so 4-22 is it. With my fuel purchase they forgave the ramp handling fee and 2 of the three day parking fees.

My experience was different than many others noted here. I got the fuel I ordered. They waived a two-day tiedown (I guess they don't normally do that.) They arranged a great upgrade rental from the on-site Enterprise. Clean, luxury facility. Normally I avoid Atlantics, but this one may change that attitude.

Flew in on June 9 from North Myrtle Beach (another long story). I was treated well, even though I did not need much fuel. Plane was tied down and delivered to the front of the FBO for my departure. I've used JZI the last three years for my annual trip to Kiawah and will continue to do so.

My family and I vacationed at Kiawah over the Memorial holiday weekend. We were met promptly at the ramp and our car was quickly planeside. The staff was friendly and service was good. Fees were waived with fuel purchase. At departure my left starter motor failed. The staff was very helpful in finding a good mechanic. The problem was a bit complex but expertly repaired by Wallace Sexton at Blue Max Aviation Maintenance. Overall an excellent experience and I hope to return.

$100 fee for handling and parking (single engine) is more than Signature at MDW, it is not posted and they did not inform me just tracked me down and wanted a credit card. I have been going here for 20 years and the fuel is the most expensive in the area also.

Landed at JZI to meet some friends on Kiawah island. They tell me there's a $40 handling fee, waived with purchase of 15 gal at $6.09/gal. Fine give me 15 gal. Then in the morning, they say, Oh, by the way, $20 tie down. I don't know about you guys, but I'm not a fan of $60 bucks just to land and stay one night. Forget about this place, next time I'll go to Mt Pleasant or CHS.

Confirmed with Bernetta that facility fee is $60 (waived with purchase of 30 gallons fuel), and parking is $20 singles and $30 twins per night. Decided to drive from Spartanburg for Family Circle. Will not tolerate facility fees. N3463G

Minimum $60 handling fee, $20/night tiedown fee. Pretty steep for an uncontrolled airport.

Cessna 172RG, Yes very friendly but you pay for it! Fuel prices are very high, $20.00 tie down, plus some sort of facility fee. Seems like they only want the high dollar Jets! Great service, you are paying for it.

Landed at JZI due to WX and the available ILS. Atlantic Aviation is a very clean and pleasant facility with a good flight planning office. Personnel were also pleasant.

Flew in to visit friends for a few days. The Atlantic facility is brand new, beautiful, with excellent flight planning facilities. The staff/linemen were very nice, and very quick to help. Fuel isn't the cheapest ($5.24 for 100LL), but with fuel purchase they waived landing and overnight charges for this Cherokee pilot. Plane was tied down and chocked for us. Great place to stay, highly recommended.
