I had a meeting at the LAX Hilton so I decided to land at KLAX and use Landmark. I was dreading it a bit but it turned out to be a great experience. ATC handling on arrival and departure was straightforward, and Landmark service was terrific. Discounted (but not waived) handling fee with my 150-gallon fuel purchase.

I figured that chartering a plane out of LAX would take away some of the charm / calm that you find at smaller airports like Long Beach or Orange County. Not so: Landmark gave our entire party of 30 a huge room to socialize before the flight, then made sure our experience was both safe and painless leaving and returning. There's a reason I use Landmark every time I can: they always remember my name and treat you like you're in a small town.

I flew into LAX to drop off a fast piston single last week, and the folks at Landmark couldn't have been nicer. The service was prompt and courteous, and everyone went out of their way to be helpful. They even gave me a free ride to my hotel. The total cost was a single $100 fee and I didn't buy any fuel (they don't sell avgas at KLAX). $100 may sound like a lot, but, hey, it's LAX, and a cab ride to SMO is $70.

I come here often, and these guys do a good job. The prices are pretty reasonable considering it's LAX (heck, it's cheaper than SMO!), and I have no complaints.
