Scrambled into here last week in deteriorating weather that ended in an overnight stay. No rental car was available so the FBO manager gave us a lift into town and restaurant recommendations. Bought no fuel, only junk from vending machine while waiting around looking at weather on their wifi. Very nice group.

The facilities are not as nice as others, and there is confusion about whether to use the avionics shop's facilities or the FBO as neither is clearly marked. But the folks on the field are friendly and helpful (at least in the FBO, not as much in the other shop). Watch out for rotors on final as the hills run parallel with the runway and can make for some pretty exciting moments on short final.

Brought a Seminole in for fuel and found a nice friendly and laid back group of people to hang out with. We were offered a ride to and from the museum (which was great) and would love to return.

I flew in on Saturday August 7th. The staff was extremely helpful. Drove us into town for lunch and picked us up after. This is my second time at Piper Memorial and always have a positive experience.

FYI... We spent a few hours here & thoroughly enjoyed the visit. Lock Haven PA (KLHV) is a very friendly place. Amiably & helpful staff. 3800' Rwy 9/27. Low fuel price. Crew car to town for lunch. Locally based privately owned Russian Fighter Trainer (L-39) does his exercises including high speed run 10' off the deck. And most especially the Piper Museum on the field. This is where Piper was started by William Piper with his line of Cub aircraft. The $5 fee gets you a personal tour with very knowledgeable guide thru the facility covering the total picture from Cub to the Mirage production in Vero Beach.

My wife and I flew in on March 9, 2010 like the other comments that were made they were most hospitable. Ed and the others. We appreciate it very much and want to come back, maybe in June. We wish all airports were this friendly. Many thanks.

We returned for another nice visit this fall, as usual it was very good. Ed took care of all our needs and shuttled us downtown for a great lunch and visit to the Woolrich outlet. Very good fuel prices. Don't miss this as great airport to visit. Also has the Piper museum right on the field.

LHV recently refurbished the FBO including a handsome lobby, nice pilot lounge with lots of reading material, and (at the other end of Hangar 1) a flight-planning room and bathroom which are accessible 24/7. The Piper Museum at the approach end of Rwy 9 makes this a very worthwhile destination.
