Welcome to Triangle North Executive Airport (LHZ)

Triangle North Executive Airport is open for aviation traffic including the Terminal. Public viewing allowed outside the fence at the Terminal.  Hours of operation are from 8am – 6pm. Terminal conference room and crew vehicles are available on a case-by-case basis. Staff is available by phone 919-496-1234 and email (fcairport@franklincountync.gov). 

The preferred destination for superior customer service, competitive pricing and easy, low-traffic access to Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and surrounding NC communities.  Located in Louisburg, NC, the airport is owned and operated by Franklin County, North Carolina, a Research Triangle Region community.  The airport is conveniently located adjacent to the newly developed Triangle North Franklin business park.

Amongst the tenants are four aircraft maintenance operators servicing piston and turboprop fixed-wing aircraft as well as Robinson helicopters.  In addition, there is a FAA Certified Avionics repair and installation facility and an aircraft sales office.  The airport is home to an active flight school providing instruction in fixed-wing and rotor-wing aircraft.  The Franklin County Composite Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol is based at the airport conducting search and rescue operations along with a cadet program.  Their aircraft is equipped with one of only two FLIR cameras in North Carolina.  The airport is home to approximately 125 based aircraft, including a Bombardier Challenger 350.  As of April 2020, the Airport sees an average of 172 operations per day.
