I stop here regularly on my way East as a cheaper alternative to the prices at COS. The pump worked fine for me early this morning. However, if I can remember correctly, the pump does not accept American Express.
Arrived late evening of Aug 2nd 2011. Prices had not been updated since Jul 3rd. Self-serve pump was not working, and phone number was for Sheriff’s dispatch. Sheriff was very helpful dispatching airport employee. Airport employee said, "Cash or check, and price is $5.37/gal versus advertised $4.70/gal. I showed him AirNav on my iPad, but he could care less, saying, "It's not my responsibility to update that thing!" I will never visit Limon, CO, a once great little airport, ever again. If I were in Limon City governance, I'd immediately find someone else to manage the airport.
The fuel stopped at $300 but was easy to re-swipe card and finish. The unit doesn't give a receipt. (Broken or out of paper?)
To respond to the previous comment/question: There is NOT a courtesy car at this airport. However, there are some very courteous pilots at KLIC, most of whom will gladly give you a lift into town if needed.
