Stopped in due to weather. Very helpful and friendly folks. Offered use of courtesy van to stay overnight. Awesome! Thanks 100LL was some of the cheapest around.

Great little FBO. On a two leg trip to KLEE from Westminster MD. Easy and inexpensive self serve with nice courtesy car and nice people behind the desk. Long runway and in the lower part of the SC foothills.

Down home hospitality, excellent service, and very reasonable rates! Gary, Sandy, and their team have earned a well deserved and rapidly expanding reputation for making LKR "the" stop to make. I always look forward to visiting Lancaster when I venture south from my home base of Manassas, VA, but my last stop was due to MX difficulties while in NC. I knew they would take care of me, and I wasn't disappointed. Previous posts mention the low fuel prices, outstanding B-B-Q lunches, great facilities, crew car, and easy access. All that is true, but what makes this all work so well is this gang exudes personal service and makes you instantly feel like a part of the family. Drop in, sit a spell on the porch, and get to know the great folks at this fabulous FBO. You'll find yourself coming back often.

Sandy and Gary are the best. They have turned Lancaster Aviation into a Class A FBO. Everyone is extremely helpful and friendly (including the dogs Fred and Hercules). You cannot beat the fuel prices either.

We were returning to MD from a mission trip to New Orleans to rebuild homes. Upon arrival they greeted us and gave us lunch (Fried Chicken and Hot dogs.) I have been flying for 30 years and have not encountered this type of hospitality. We Thank GOD and also we thank them for their generosity. When we come South again we will surely stop to refuel and say hi to these nice folks even if they don't feed us next time.

If you want good service and a family atmosphere stop thru this airport. Gary, Sandra, and Mike are great people and will take good care of you. I had to stay overnight for 2 days on my trip X-ctry to California waiting for WX. When I first arrived they fed me and the following day trying to get out they fed me. Even picked me up from the hotel early both days. If you’re in the neighborhood make it a point to stop by and say hello. You'll get great fuel prices and service from family people. Thank Guys.

We've brought both the company's Hawker and Citation into LKR in recent months. Each time, our passenger's transportation was arranged and there on time, fuel prices were competitive and service was excellent. It's a good alternative to Charlotte with easy access and is just the type of small airport FBO that should be supported whenever possible.

Got fuel going and coming from Florida. Excellent buy. Just a great place run by nice people. Airport is open for picnic with food on Saturdays and there was some nice ham left over for today. So we had ham sandwiches and macaroni salad for free - how nice. Boy will I ever be using this place a lot. Easy in an out IFR.

From Jim O'Day on 11-Mar-2007
I stopped in to buy fuel before going on to CHS. I needed 160 gallons and it was $1.90 less than CHS so it was worth the time. They have a SS system that worked fine, has a long hose (often they are marginally long enough). Used the restroom and a Coke from the machine and I was off. Easy to get in and out, be careful which way you turn out if you want to pick up an IFR clearance in the air (there is a restricted area adjacent).

I am a member of two RV formation groups, Team RV and Palmetto Flight. We routinely practice at out-of-the-way airfields in North and South Carolina. Lancaster is the most preferred venue because Gary and Sandy have made us feel at home. Low fuel prices, great BBQ or burger lunches and a friendly staff that will go the extra mile to make us welcome. What more could you ask for.

Sandy & Gary are some of the best I've ever encountered. I was part of a charity program and they helped me out. LKR isn't a bad drive from Charlotte. We went roundtrip to Chattanooga and back on a quick flight to provide Christmas to a needy family. Class act all the way. Can't say enough nice things about this base and these people!! Beware of Sandy's desire to offer excess food and drink. No may not be accepted as an answer. Nice facility and still feels like Mom's House.

From Art Bordeaux on 29-Sep-2006
Great airport!!! Good fuel prices and service with a smile. We stop often.

From Hesham Oubari on 28-May-2006
LKR will be my stop between Hampton Roads and Atlanta. Small field that is manned every day, with excellent fuel prices. The staff is very helpful and friendly. Much better than other places nearby that simply have a runway and a self-serve fuel stand. Excellent airport!

From Brian Weaver on 21-May-2006
Fabulous FBO. Wish it were my home base. Lowest fuel prices, Saturday cookout, and pushed my Cessna 140 into a hangar to keep it out of a hailstorm when I wasn't around. 5 star service! Thank you!

From Norm Thompson on 04-May-2006
Stopped here on May 1, 2006. I heartily endorse all the previously posted positive comments in this space. Great people well maintained facilities (I especially liked the sheltered brand new self service fuel station) and, relatively speaking, great fuel prices. If you are near here, stop here!

From Jeff Kelley on 29-Apr-2006
I was really impressed with the courtesy and eagerness to help. The internet access with Satellite TV was also a great plus. The fuel prices are the best I have found anywhere. These folks seem to be on a mission to be the VERY BEST, and I think they are NOW! I would love to get this treatment everywhere I go. This is a FIVE STAR FBO! (I wish all American Companies had their attitude!)

From Gary Tullius on 26-Apr-2006
I have stopped there several times on trips to and from Ohio to Florida and they are always very helpful and courteous. Also cheapest fuel I have found between these two points. Highly recommend them open 24hrs on self-serve.

From Tom Staggs on 25-Apr-2006
I just had a great experience at Lancaster. I was flying along the Gulf Coast and heading towards Norfolk when I landed at Pensacola. They wanted over $5 a gallon, so I decided to press along to another field with more reasonably priced gas - Lancaster. In addition to great fuel prices, the team at Lancaster's FBO was friendly, helpful, and just a lot of fun to be around. The facility is well-maintained and there is a great pilot's lounge. I would highly recommend this as a stop for folks headed through the area.

From Graham V. Smith on 28-Feb-2006
We stopped on our way north for lunch and a respite. We were warmly greeted and treated. They invited us to share the lunch that was coming for their Saturday event. About the least expensive gas we saw from NH to FL and back.

Stopped in January 06. Assisted self-server. Very good people. Will be back

From Jim Fallows on 23-Jan-2006
I echo the recent positive comments about this airport and FBO. When I stopped by there on a holiday (MLK day), the FBO managers were standing by the self-service fuel pump. They were there because it had an operating glitch, and they would manually reset it between each customer -- and then let the customer pump the very, very inexpensive self-serv gas. (It was below $3 while I was there.) Good vibes in all ways.

From Ahmed Reza on 04-Jan-2006
Excellent newly taken-over FBO. Great fuel price. Nice people. Decent courtesy car, fast food within 7 minutes of airport. Great experience, and on New Year's day!

From Gordon M. Bowers on 16-Nov-2005
We fly a T-28 which uses a lot of fuel. We use AirNav.com whenever we're going to or from an air show. We stopped at Lancaster because of the fuel price. The folks there could not have been nicer. They had great barbeque in the slow cooker and we were invited to lunch. Although the fuel is self-serve, Gary was right there to run the pump and hand the hose up to us on the wing. Good runway, nice terminal, friendly folks, lowest fuel prices along the route - what more can you ask?
