My wife and I stopped by Ocean Air @ KLMT for a weekend trip. Our rental car (which I ordered directly from Hertz) was ready and waiting. A lineman came out to park us, and our fuel order (pricey at $6.42/gallon!) was filled promptly. Keep in mind that they close at 7 pm on Sundays, so if you plan on leaving later in the evening, you might be out of luck.

The good: Helpful at getting us hotel information. The bad: Lineman did not help park us or come out despite no other aircraft being serviced. Internet is so slow, it's useless. No courtesy car as advertised. High fuel prices. No charts or maps. (Really? What kind of GA FBO doesn't sell maps?)

Had a very good experience with Ocean Air providing quick and friendly service. I stopped in for about a half hour to refuel and pick up a passenger and they got me turned around in no time. I wish the fuel were a little cheaper, but no complaints here.

I'd like to pan this FBO and airport, but there are few choices in the area so let me try and offer some constructive criticism. Employees at Ocean Air are fine, just as they are at this FBO's North Bend location. At Klamath the people appear more distracted or overworked than at North Bend. The lady at the front desk seems to be doing back office work on the computer continuously, and the line employees are often away pumping fuel for the airline that comes in here or for the military or in support of Ocean Air's medevac operations. Clearly the priority is not on GA, and you can feel it in the general attitude that pervades the operation. If you are stopping for fuel then I highly recommend one of the FBO's in Medford, which offer much lower fuel prices, nicer facilities and courtesy cars. If you need to fly into Klamath then this is the only game in town.

We had our rental car waiting for us at the FBO when we arrived. Crater Lake National Park is a short drive from here. Watch out for military training exercises in the area.

Eh. Go elsewhere. Rental car was not there, after calling to confirm twice. Line crew was busy catching rays in the parking lot and gave me attitude because I didn't know the gate code. Fuel guy asked me where I was from and then told me how much he DIDN'T like the city I live in (San Francisco). All of which is at odds with the city of Klamath Falls - where the people are friendly, open and helpful.

We took the crew "truck" to town and had a great lunch! Friendly and good service from the line folks.
