Great airport to fly and work out of. It is close enough to Dallas for everything you need yet it has the small town, local airport feeling that we all enjoy. Good facilities, great Cafe, good fuel prices and staff who are more than willing to accommodate and help out any type of aircraft that come through. I look forward to flying and working at this airport in the near future.

On a recent trek across the country I had the good fortune of finding this FBO! I called and spoke to Rene, who was kind enough to pull our rental car inside the gate and have the paperwork laid out for us to fill out, as we were arriving after-hours. The next morning an enthusiastic Tommy did a great job in fueling the plane with a smile. My client and I were also pointed towards what must be the best BBQ in Texas by Mark! All around great experience, I will definitely be back!

Great airport. Will come back again!!

From Michael Coster on 05-Apr-2010

Made a precautionary landing here on Friday 4/2 after telling the FBO we might have a fuel problem. As we taxied in, the FBO employee locked up, mounted his motorcycle, and buzzed away carefully avoiding "seeing us" pull into the tiedown. No offer of assistance, no followup on fuel availability, no offer to call a cab. A local guy hanging at the airport remarked "Yeah, they are pretty much clockwatchers there." Facility is nice enough, fuel prices are good, and they topped our tanks by telephone request when they opened Saturday, but the employees exhibited the downside of "government owned" airport attitude the following morning -- hardly looking up when a customer walked in. I cannot recommend this airport.

Response from Arb Rylant Airport Manager, Lancaster Airport
Dear LNC Customers: We welcome all AIRNAV comments - good or bad. I regret that Mr. Coster had a bad experience at LNC and welcome him back anytime to experience our customer service from a better vantage point. The timing of this event could not have been worse as we do close at 7:00 p.m. as advertised and our Ops Agent was necessarily going through our complex airport and FBO closing checklist. He was away from the UNICOM and therefore did not hear the inbound aircraft with problems. LNC will disect this incident and look for lessons learned that may help us provide the customer service for which we strive.

The restaurant is no longer open. Don't know all the details, but until further notice, the restaurant is INOP. BOO

Flew in for lunch on February 27, 2010. Runway Cafe closed December 2009. Airport management has no word on when it may open again.

Response from Arb Rylant, Airport Manager, Lancaster Airport
Dear LNC Customers: LNC is committed to getting the Runway Cafe back up and running soon. We sincerely appreciate your continued support and patience as we work through the tasks of providing a quality cafe for our tenant and transient customers. Stay tuned here or give us a call at 972-227-5721 for an update before you fly in. We are also actively engaged installing a self-serve avgas facility for your convenience. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
