Nice airport with nice, helpful people. Atlantic doesn't seem to be operating the FBO there (a fact that I consider one of the airport's best attributes). Tried to go in there late one night and the lights weren't set to pilot-controlled, so I had to divert to Charleston.

BEWARE: This is NOT the correct FBO for Mt. Pleasant. Atlantic Aviation / 843-746-7600 is at Charleston. Found this out the hard way.

Flew in 3/17. Met with great ramp crew helped us tie down. Parked for 3 days. Waived parking with fuel top-off. Aircraft was ready on my departure day.

New FBO with good pilot area. Free wireless Internet. Quick and courteous service. Unfortunately, no crew car available. FBO will arrange a rental through Enterprise.

This is easily the friendliest airport I have been to in the last three years. Fuel prices are a tiny bit on the high side, but really not bad considering the rest of the Charleston area. Chris came out and met our aircraft, apologized profusely for not marshaling us in (he was helping another customer), and cheerfully let my parents and elderly aunt drive out to the plane to meet us. The facilities are immaculate, as well. Can't recommend LRO enough, particularly if you are considering JZI as an alternative. One word of caution- the Enterprise Rental Car in Mount Pleasant was terrible. Look for another agency. They wanted to double the rate to leave a car at the FBO, and I had to wait an hour for my car the next day when I got there.

Just completed two recent stops at KLRO. Great facility, great location and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend this airport for anyone wanting to fly in to the Charleston, Isle of Palms area!

Greg and Chris are the BEST. I love flying into this airport. The service is prompt and VERY courteous and the fuel prices were reasonable. The newly paved runway was a pleasure to operate from. I would definitely make this a must stop when in the area. I met Roger upon departure and he made sure our needs were handled. I wished more FBO's were this clean, orderly and friendly!

We parked our airplane at KLRO while we were on a cruise out of Charleston in July 2010. Had it fueled and tied down for the week. When we returned, 4 of us were dropped off. Little did I realize that I had left a small, personal effects bag in the vehicle that dropped us off. The bag contained my airplane keys along with some other things. Since we had no way to contact the driver, the lineman on duty at the time, Roger Powell allowed me to use his vehicle (without hesitation I might add) to track down the vehicle a few miles down the road and get my bag. His kindness and quick thinking prevented possible hours of wasted time and heartache. The folks at KLRO were very friendly and accommodating. We hope to visit their airport again in the near future! THANKS AGAIN ROGER!

We flew into LRO on Friday, June 25 as part of a large group visiting Charleston. We were treated like dignitaries from the moment we stepped out of the airplane. A newly paved runway and very nice facilities. Unfortunately, we didn't get (need) to utilize any of their services but we were treated like close friends the entire time we were there. Thank you for your exceptional hospitality!!

Extremely friendly and very helpful. The best of the best. By the way, very accommodating for both transients and for "part timers" that is, for me, part time at SEG and part time at LRO. Really friendly and glad that they are at LRO.
