I flew into LZZ to pickup a passenger and found it just as the previous poster..... Nice clean runway and good fuel.. Which was easy to get to and a pilots lounge that was better than some at much bigger airports...

Land here on a super hot summer day, go inside of the very nice pilot's lounge and you won't want to leave. Super clean, snacks and drinks on the honor system, very fair fuel prices. Good place to take a short, quiet nap too. I first landed here with my ATP father in 1988. Each time I pass through this part of Texas, I divert to Lampasas because it is always consistent and a great place for a quick fuel stop or an overnighter in one of the several nice and inexpensive motels in town. Clean bathrooms, no FOD... A very savvy group of city leaders in Lampasas set the example for other small towns on how to operate a great rural airport.

Great stop for fuel. Nice clean, & cool FBO with snacks & drinks. Fuel card machine easy to use with very good price. Did not see car to go into town, but did not need it anyway. Watch out for the slope on the runway.

Probably my best experience at a small airport in 5 years. Easy Self Service fuel. Super clean pilot's lounge. Snacks and soft drinks on the "honor-system" leave $$ in the lock-box. Ramp area and runways clear of gravel. I'd go out of my way to land here again for fuel and a short rest ANYDAY. Very well managed. 5 Stars to the City of Lampasas!

Very good fuel and rest stop! Courtesy Range Rover available and flight planning room with restroom and snacks. One of the best stops anywhere.

Runway slopes like a ski lift, has small but adequate (storage shed) facility.... It is in EXCELLENT condition. Airport manager is very helpful.
