Ten stars!!!! Robert Lansford, the new LZZ airport director, helped fix the fuel situation as soon as he was hired. Now we have hassle-free self-serve fuel at $4.90 per gallon. Robert also helped get the AWOS-3 back online and working as well.

Had a good experience today at Lampasas airport. The courtesy car was gone for the day, but we ran into the airport manager. He offered to take us, in HIS truck, downtown for lunch. He actually HAD lunch with us, and we enjoyed being with him. He went out of his way to accommodate us. I believe his name was Robert Lansford, great guy.

KLZZ has been my home airport for over a decade now. Not happy with the City of Lampasas not listening to us local pilots telling them that the fuel pump has been pumping EXTREMELY SLOW for MONTHS if not a year now. If I am flying in after a long x-country, sometimes I go to KMNZ or KBMQ to avoid our own pumps. It's crazy to have to avoid my home airport's fuel. It really needs to be fixed by another contractor entirely. Not to mention our AWOS-3 has been broken for 2 years now. So long that Lampasas has stopped putting out the NOTAM saying the AWOS is out of service. Hire new contractors instead of making excuses and take pride in our airport. Please fix the fuel pump and AWOS, City of Lampasas!
