Earlier in the day at KJWN Knoxville they couldn't get the fuel order or ramp time right. Red Willow was the opposite experience. They got the fueling started within a minute of touchdown, the courtesy car was running and Shirley had great options for a local lunch (try the bakery!) We'll be back!!

Dropped in for a quick turn on the Bonanza. Used the courtesy car, which can only be described as "funky" (but in a good way). Ran fine, good AC, just had to work with the shift lever to help it find a gear. Quick service. Pretty cool waiting area/hangar. Glad I checked AirNav to find KMCK.

Stopped in for a quick fuel stop over the weekend in my Eclipse. I've been here several times, and they're good folks. This time there were a couple minor snags; their Internet service was down and there was no popcorn (the latter is a biggie for my wife!). Still, we got turned around in good time and I'll be back. (My wife might call ahead to ensure popcorn readiness, though!)

Stopped at Red Willow twice in the past few days. Outstanding service, reasonable fuel prices, and very friendly folks. Would heartily recommend KMCK and Red Willow to anyone in the area.

We arrived after hours, the courtesy car had the keys in the ignition and we were off to the hotel. Car is a little worse for wear but did make it to town and back. Great service by the line crew for our departure the next morning.

Masters of the quick turn! As I announced that I was on the ILS for Rwy 12 at McCook on the CTAF, Shirley responded that the fuel truck would be standing by when I landed. Two nice young linemen greeted me when I shut down and promptly began the refueling. I was airborne 30 minutes after touchdown. My only regret is that I couldn't stay any longer! Wonderful people, great FBO!

I stopped in at Red Willow Aviation on June 10th and was very impressed with the service and caring attitude of the guys and Shirley. I was able to use a crew car overnight, and I forgot my credit card when I paid for the fuel and had no idea where I left it. Shirley called me at home in California to confirm my address so she could send it to me. Great facility, great folks.. I'll be back.

We made a fuel stop at Red Willow Aviation on March 8, 2012 enroute to KLAS. I had called on March 7, 2012 to advise we would be stopping in for a quick turn. When we called up on Unicom, we were advised that the fuel truck was waiting for us. The facility, while in an older building/hangar, was nice and clean. The staff was friendly and had us on our way in 20 minutes. A great place to stop and would certainly stop again.

I made a fuel stop at Red Willow Aviation in McCook, NE on 28 Nov 2011 - perhaps the best FBO I've been to! When I made my first advisory call the manager, Shirley, came over the radio and asked if we needed fuel or anything else. I answered yes; when we landed, the fuel truck was waiting for us and the linemen took great care in their job, terrific. Shirley went out of her way to ensure customers are taken care of. My passenger and I went into the new FBO building where they have several vintage aircraft on display, really nice. They also have fresh popcorn and drinks complimentary. The FBO owner, Griff, stopped by to check on us, best customer service I've seen in years. McCook airport in general has very nice facilities, super airport. Based on my experiences with Red Willow Aviation and the McCook airport, I will go out of my way to stop there next time I'm in the area!

We are in frequently with our Cessna 340, and always get great service with the best fuel price. Shirley is one of the nicest and most helpful people you will meet at an airport of any size.

On Sept 19, 2011, I got a low voltage light shortly after departing LBF on an x-country from BDH in MN to my home field DVT in AZ. This was my first long flight in my new-to-me Mooney M20J. The folks at Red Willow quickly repaired the broken ground wire on the alternator and I was on my way. Friendly folks.

Shirley was fabulous!! She hangared our plane overnight due to storms rolling in, found motel rooms for us at a great rate, provided a courtesy car, and a recommendation for dinner at the Taste of Texas. We look forward to being able to visit again!

Red Willow Aviation is a class act. They knew thunderstorms were coming and put my aircraft in their hangar w/out a request to do so. You do not find that kind of service everywhere!

McCook is a nice field that I fly to about once or twice a year. However, they used to have good fuel prices. I landed on 6 June 2011 and I did not buy fuel because now they are one of the highest in the area! Fuel was 50 cents a gallon higher than at Atwood, KS (to the south a short distance) and about 40 cents higher a gallon than Ogallala, NE (to the north). I noticed there wasn't near the normal traffic. I'm wondering if their higher fuel prices are driving traffic away. I know the price caused me to avoid buying fuel there. I hope they don't inadvertently kill their airport!

Has become my favorite mid-country stop on coast-to-coast. Quick turns. Easy in and out with Denver Center on the ground. And Shirley just does it all right. The lunches from Sehnert's Bakery are legendary. This time Shirley did a cheese and fruit plate for us and it was gone by MVA!

I transported a German Shepherd to McCook as a Pilots N Paws mission. Service was good and the young man who serviced the airplane even offered the use of the courtesy car (although I didn't need it). What really shocked me was that I got a "thank you" card in the mail. As far as I know they are the only FBO on the field and didn't have to do that. Very nice and personal touch. I look forward to returning.
