According to one story, Chicago didn't get its nickname "Windy City" from the gusty weather. The name was coined more than 100 years ago by a visiting reporter who noticed Chicagoans couldn't stop boasting about their town. Residents can still brag about their city, considered one of the most successful metropolitan areas in the United States. Let Signature-Midway be your guide to the best that Chicago offers.

I am updating my comment from August of last year. I frequent this FBO on a near-weekly basis from March through November. This is a great organization with great staff. Safety and professionalism are top-drawer behind the counter and on the line -- very genuine people. All aircraft are treated with equal priority and respect. Staffing generally allows quick shuttles to the orange-line at any time, day or night. There is no question this is a superior organization.

Stopped in today for fuel while on my Instrument cross-country. Line and desk people all very friendly. Got a discount for stopping by and purchasing fuel on the weekend. Also bought sufficient fuel to get the handling fee waived (our little airplane doesn't hold much, so was pleasantly surprised at that). Next time I head out this way, I'll definitely stop by Signature. Only downside to the whole visit had nothing to do with Signature... The wait time to get clearance to takeoff is quite long due to the sheer amount of traffic that KMDW gets.

These people are genuine, on spot, and ready to serve. I recommend Signature (MDW) to anyone who intends to stop here.

For a quick turn in a single-engine, they have a $28 handling fee that is waived with 7 gal min purchase. Add the city $7.50 landing fee.

Not really impressed with service and line personnel. No real sense of urgency to get us parked. Would have gone elsewhere but client requested Signature at Midway.

There have not been many comments about Signature at MDW posted in 2008, thus I thought I would provide a recent comment. Among the three FBOs on the field, Signature at Midway is top drawer, even for small, single-engine GA pilots such as myself. The fuel cost might be slightly higher, however the professionalism, and their focus on safety and cleanliness are outstanding. I fly into KMDW about 20 times per year and Signature has been and continues to be my first choice.

Flew in Memorial Day weekend, staff offered reduced fuel after mid-night, shuttle to and from Orange line, and passenger escort to plane on departure.

This is a great FBO. After arriving on a cold day with the wind chills making it worse. We arrived in our Piper Navajo and there was a lineman braving the cold to park us. Who can forget the fresh baked warm cookies? The people at the desk were very helpful and got us a cab to downtown.

Signature made a trip into Midway very easy. I appreciated the no hassle shuttle to the Orange Line. Upon return, a call to Signature and a ride back to the FBO were there in five minutes. Fees for a small plane (C182) are reasonable for an airport like Midway. $0.50 discount for buying fuel on weekends and the handling fee was waived with 7 gal purchase. The landing fee was $7.50, I believe, and tie-down was the most reasonable on the field for a single engine. Service was great and facilities are outstanding.

Parked my Piper Tomahawk here for Super Bowl weekend (Tues - Monday). Treated me well, good prices. Cookies are best I've had from a FBO. I'll be back.

Taxied in to the ramp at 11:00am for a drop off and quick turn. I left 20 minutes later with the wrong fuel load and less $247.00 for 40 gal. No one cares.
