I always had very good service at Duffy's FBO. Robert and Duffy both were engaging, helpful businessmen. However, I had a bad experience leasing a plane. I leased a C-172 from Duffy's from July to September of 2010. The airplane was junk. It was supposed to be IFR certified, but VOR #2 was inop, the transponder was intermittent, the ADF was inop, and the clock was inop. There was no GPS system in the aircraft. When I approached Duffy about the problems, he shrugged it off. When maintenance was required, I had a hard time contacting Duffy via telephone to get maintenance authorized at a different FBO. I had to wait 2 1/2 days and call several times before I could talk to him about replacing a flat tire. The airplane had a lot of engine problems, too. A broken carb air box, a cylinder with a stuck valve, and finally a crack in the crankcase. Knowing what I know now, I would not lease again from Duffy's. The mechanical work was shoddy and cheap at best and the service was abysmal.

My wife & I had flown to KMFI on the weekend of the 9/25/10 for a wedding. What a great FBO they have at this airport. My rental car from associated rental was waiting for me in the parking lot. Duffy let me drive the car out to my plane to unload the suitcases. We had a nice talk with Duffy before leaving for our motel. The next day we went back out to the airport and drove the car up to the plane again to load everything. Dave Wells was on duty that day and was very helpful. He even helped me with the computerized fuel station. That made it a lot easier for me to buy some fuel. I highly recommend this FBO for there kind and friendly service.

The absolute best service we received at any FBO on our trip from Sacrament to and from Oshkosh. Duffy was unbeatable! And what a fine gentleman. He drove us to the hotel and said he would pick us up the next morning if we could not find a ride. We did - the owner of the hotel drove us the next AM. Great place. Thanks Duffy. Don Laurila KTRM

I stopped here on a Sunday AM cross-country and was happy to find a smiling face (Brian) and a car so I could get some food. Nice clean FOB and friendly people!
