We really enjoyed our visits to The Spinning Wheel Bed and Breakfast, in Onancock, Virginia. Thom Nolan, the owner, was happy to pick us up at the Accomack County Airport, and gave us a wonderful history of the town and surrounding area, on our way to his B and B. Their home is lovely, and his wife and daughter were very gracious. The town, chartered in 1690 is very interesting with many old (1800s) mansions, art galleries, antique shops and a working wharf. We had a short power outage, during a thunderstorm, and sat on the front porch, watching the town go by. We also enjoyed a very gourmet dinner at a local restaurant and a wonderful breakfast the next morning, at the B and B. The airport is very nice, new and clean, and Mr. Nolan will return you to the airport, when you are ready to leave.... Unless it’s before ten a.M., as he also prepares the breakfast, which you will not want to miss.

It was a pleasure to stay with the Nolan family. Thom was happy to pick us up at the airport since transportation there is limited. What an enjoyable evening and a great breakfast the following day! As the previous commenter said, Thom is eager to tell you all he knows about the local area and its history. His wife and two children are also excellent hosts. We especially enjoyed being able to walk to the local restaurants. We will be happy to visit them again sometime. We loved the nostalgic atmosphere and the beautiful pineapple hand-crocheted doilies Linda's mother made :-) Thank you to the Nolan family for a memorable stay.
