Went to Monroe Air Center today and all I can say is WOW!! They have just finished a total remodel of their lobby and Pilot Lounge. Free high-speed wireless is available throughout. Fuel prices are very reasonable for this type FBO. They have an FAA certified avionics and repair station certificate and were able to fix a small problem for me before my paxs showed back up. The staff was super friendly all the way from the front desk, lineman, and mx dept. It is so nice to fly into a place where everyone cares as much as they do. I will continue to use Monroe Air Center every time I pass through the area.

Midday pickup. Line guys met me at the ramp for a top-off. Facilities are very old and musty. Very obvious they don't spend much money on updating. They do have weather station and a computer with fast internet. Nice for quick turn; not so nice if you have to spend time hanging around.

After departure IFR en route KPWA / KPFN had double vacuum pump failure within 5 minutes of each other. Returned to KMLU. This was on a Saturday. Left gripe sheet with FBO staff and continued on to KPFN via Hertz. Received a call Monday morning from Don reassuring me that everything would be taken care of. Returned Friday morning aircraft ready to go. Quick work, Fair price and helpful FBO staff. Good stop.

Attempted to use the Monroe Airport Center for a "quick turn" refueling stop for a Citation while crossing the country today. I was able to pump seven gallons before the pump shut down on the first attempt. I phoned them and waited 20 minutes for a "we'll be right there". Eventually gave up and called Hanger 1 and they were nice enough to fuel me at the Monroe self-serve pump. Full service, less money, and a clean bathroom nearby. Next time I won't waste my time with Monroe and just go to Hangar 1.

Great all-around FBO! Fuel is reasonable for the region. Line service personnel were extremely friendly and generous. Customer service at the front counter was wonderful and very helpful. Hotels, rental/courtesy cars, quick-turn fuel, even hangar space for our Citation. Everyone seemed very knowledgeable and did everything they could to help us feel right at home. Their large lobby and pilots' lounge gave our passengers a comfortable place to wait and the crew somewhere to grab a quick nap. Definitely plan on stopping back in next time. Keep up the good work!
