We came in corporate style in our PC12 mid afternoon to pick up pax, and then were returning late with same pax to overnight. No rental car available, no hotel shuttle, and a taxi service that was questionable. Brian offered up the crew car even though we would not be returning until early evening the next day. Very friendly people at a small friendly airport...The way flying is supposed to be. Best gas prices around too ($3.39) and no fees! Looking forward to going back soon.

I ferried an aircraft to a prospective buyer at Meriden. The facilities were comfortable and all of the staff was very friendly and helpful. They let me use the courtesy car overnight, arranged for a rental car when I unexpectedly had to stay longer, and were really pleasant to work with. My only complaint comes from their maintenance shop. Good, knowledgeable mechanics, but they had no sense of urgency when I needed it. They seemed oblivious to my schedule. If I hadn't kept checking on the status of the aircraft I was ferrying out, they wouldn't have overnighted the needed parts--stranding me for a weekend! Plus lots of little annoyances, like waiting until after all of the work was completed before starting the invoice, even after I'd already let them know I was running late. Good place if you aren't in a rush.

Arrived today to have lunch at Teds famous steamed cheeseburgers in Meriden. The minute I landed, one person brought the courtesy car to the front door, the other helped me with the self-service fuel. These people are like having a family member at the FBO. I only had room for ten gallons of fuel, next time I'll have room for much more, they deserve the business.

Just stopped in for fuel on my way west. Nice bunch of people, fast fuel at a reasonable price. What more could you ask for?
