Historic Morristown is home to many Revolutionary war homes and museums. One such home, found only two miles from Morristown Municipal Airport, was used as a headquarters by Gen. George Washington. The Morristown Square, located in the center of town, is a park and local meeting place which hosts fairs, outdoor concerts and many restaurants and boutiques. Whether you're looking for a little bit of history or quick access to the bustling New Jersey business community, Signature-Morristown is the first place to call.

Place and people couldn't be nicer but... For my single engine, in for a 1/2 meeting, the fees were: Handling................ $31 Ramp Parking............ $20 Infrastructure.......... $ 5 Landing Fee (Not FBO)... $11? ============================= Total Fees.............. $66 WOW! Given my humble needs, I feel like I'm forced to pay for far more than I require. Again, nice place and people but there are other far less expensive options nearby for those less needy. (BTW, if I bought gas at a $2+ premium I think one of those charges would be eliminated but the total out of pocket effectively stays the same.)

Had a short overnight stay for the Thanksgiving holiday with family in North Jersey and was once again treated like "family" by the KMMU Signature staff. From the line crew to the CSR team members my Bonanza trip north from Savannah was handled by these fine folks as if I arrived in a G550. Hotel, car rental and the professional handling of my aircraft made the brief trip go flawlessly. I will continue to give high marks to the KMMU Signature FBO.

Last Saturday, a co-worker and I flew to Morristown in a 172SP to pick up my girlfriend. We were landing, turning off the engine long enough for her to get in, and then taking off again. I called Signature to inform them of what I was doing and was told I would have to pay a $35 handling fee on top of an $11 landing fee. I was a little upset about this, as I didn't need any services. However, after explaining that I would likely be on the ground less than 10-15 min. They decided to waive the handling fee. I have dealt with Signature at BWI many many times and although they have free coffee, cookies, and popcorn, as well as a great weather briefing area and pilot lounge, the handling fees should really be re-examined. They already mark up Avgas more than 50%. However, they were very pleasant and treated us very well. I will continue to use Signature as long as they stay reasonable with me. If it is fuel you are looking for, it is nearly $2/gal cheaper on the other side of the field.

Flew in after tower closed on a 600-1 night after missing at SMQ. Of course I needed to overnight, I needed fuel, and I needed transportation. Safety first, having flown in with closing in weather, they discounted fuel, gave me a crew car and waived all but a $25 fee. When the chips are down, I'll take a 200' LPV to a 24 hour FBO with resources. Thank you folks, a fitting finish to an exciting low IFR night flight.

CDW was closed because of all the snow so we used MMU for the convenience of our passengers. Landed about 1430. Hit something on roll out that punctured right main tire/tube but was able to get off the runway. The girls at Signature did all they could to help out, sent the van out to pick up my passengers and make them comfortable. Airport ops folks were quickly there to help out. Alex from Syrek-Mee Aviation came out, jacked up the plane, removed the wheel pant, and was able to get air to stay in long enough to taxi to his shop. They had a tire and tube and I was good to go about 1730. Couldn't have asked for better service from any of them. The only fee I was charged was waived with fuel purchase. (Columbia 400)

CSR girl and a line guy were flirting so much that I had to get her attention for her to stop showing her butt to the guy who was giving her a "thumbs up". I called for a hangar due to frost warning and was told it wouldn't be a problem. Morning: covered in frost and unmoved, I towed the plane to the front where I could see to clean off the wings. I asked why I wasn't hangared they all claimed ignorance. After an hour of cleaning off the wings they offered to hangar the plane until it thawed. There was so much space in this hangar it enraged me because of the lack of professionalism that Signature showed and the complete lack of care that they had failed at their job. On my way out there was a sarcastic CSR that yelled, "I hope you have a wonderful rest of your cheerful day." None of our planes will be returning to this FBO. I don't mind paying a premium price for fuel for premium service, but in this case I was paying for rudeness and incompetence

We landed Morristown this week and I feel I need to disclose the service we received at Signature. I called on Unicom and explained we had a van and a rental car, they did a nice job getting the van on the ramp, but the desk fumbled around looking for the car 10 minutes after we landed. The CSR who worked with me at the desk was carrying on a phone conversation at the same time with a boyfriend or someone. She copied my drivers license and CC and then put them in an envelope and gave them to me. So the rental car company had to call me later to get my information. There were no cookies. The coffee was good, Starbucks. When we returned in the evening and drove to the airplane no one showed up to help load at all, they finally wandered out after we were started and taxiing. The customer service is lacking, especially when they are charging a $275 Ramp Fee.

If you can land elsewhere, land elsewhere! Landing fees, parking fees, handling fees and fuel prices are beyond ridiculous. Think they'll waive any fees because you purchase fuel? Think again. If money is no object, this is the place for you.

High taxes, stupid landing fees and ridiculous fuel prices...KMMU and Signature represent the absurdity of the financial state of the State of New Jersey. Non-commercial GA should never see landing fees at any airport that does not support large-scale people-moving commercial airline(s). NJ should take KMMU back from DM Airports, LTD.

I enjoy great service from many FBOs that don't charge absurd prices. Signature's folks are friendly enough, and they even seem embarrassed by Signature's pricing. The aviation community needs to let the folks running KMMU Signature that they are doing a disservice to aviation. Just as the State of NJ taxed its way to financial ruin, Signature is sawing of its own branch. Signature should work with KMMU to abolish landing fees and charge reasonable rates for GA fuel and services. Open KMMU up for business rather than trying to drive everyone away with stupid prices and fees.
