Exceptional service! Called ahead to arrange lift into town after ETA 5-6PM, delayed en-route so FBO agreed to wait until 630PM, delayed yet again during last leg and arrived 645PM: FBO person waited the extra time and met me with happy face. Brilliant!

Need to update my prior comment. The city building does have unusual hours but the staff is great and friendly. The crew car is still limited on use but it is what it is. Rental cars can be arranged with the local Enterprise office for pick up and drop off at Baron. The gate issue is no longer a problem as the west gates are left open for some reason. Just wish fuel prices in Ohio were as cheap as surrounding states.

Baron is a friendly place and helpful. You can get an Enterprise rental and it will be dropped at their location, providing you are there during business hours for both places (Enterprise and Baron). Weekend rental cars are limited to noon so beware. The city has an office at the airport, which for all practical purposes is useless to general aviation. Don't know what they do. They do have a courtesy car for very short-term use during weekly business hours. There is gate security so after hours you will be carrying everything to your plane, which can be a problem. Great runways though with OK gas prices for Ohio. Marion is my hometown so I come here regularly. Would highly recommend Put N Bay for a nice day trip.
