I hate to say anything negative, but flew in on a weekday in a Navajo to drop of passengers for a meeting. Nothing was open anywhere. Had to sit in the plane all morning until it was time to leave. Not a lot around there. Definitely an underutilized airport with a lot of potential, but its hard to not go somewhere else when I didn't even have a warm place to go inside.

International Airport? Really? What a joke. Not much of anything here. The restaurant just closed - with a sign that made me laugh - Won't miss ALL of you :) Soda machine was empty, water fountain broken - place is a ghost town - no food, no drink and expensive fuel in the middle of nowhere. Only reason I was there was to drop off a patient from an Angel flight. If I lived there, I might not go. Avoid if possible.

Response from Frank Koester, Private Flight Maintenance
Thank you Ed for that shining review. The key phrase from your review is "In the middle of nowhere". Visit now and take some time to tour the area and see the 60-70% of the vacant storefronts. The crowd at the welfare office, take a look at the 40% of the property off the tax rolls. You say there is nothing here and you are right, but your review sure does not help. As far as the fuel prices go, AVGAS is non-profit, we charge what we pay, after taxes and surcharge. Again thank you for all the help.
