Good place to stop for fuel. Small town airport with old timers offering help on how to get around LA while flying VFR. I'll stop there again.

Nice little airport only $5 overnight fee!!! Very much worth parking there and supporting this little airport! Harold and Sam are great guys and will assist you as much as they can. Extremely noise sensitive area; so be sure to follow the landing and departing noise abatement procedures.

Nice little airport. Cheap cheap gas. Over $1.00 less than CRQ only 4 minutes away. Will stop again on my way thru south corridor. But, I walked down to ocean via the bike path. Never Again. Take a taxi. It’s a long long walk for nothing.

KOKB Oceanside, CA. Earlier at a fuel stop I had picked up a photo chart that showed how to land at Oceanside to avoid over flight of noise sensitive areas. At Oceanside, a hotel and several restaurants were within a reasonable walk and the next day a bicycle path (about three miles, paved, no highway crossings, very pleasant) took me to the beach where I spent the day. A very pleasant stay.

I have been flying for 4 years and every airport I have been to was welcoming and helpful. NOT THIS ONE! I have never seen someone treat a visitor to a GA airport the way that old man did to us. We parked my plane in front of an empty tie down; the old man came out saying that the tie down was a private spot. I assured him that I was just using the restroom and checking my charts and I'd be there 10 min max. End of it? No he had to tell us that we had better be out of there in 5 min. Then I was pushing my aircraft back to start up, he came back to yell at us some more. I have never felt so unwelcome at a GA airport before. This man needs to learn that he doesn't own that airport and when to SHUT UP. When I went to depart I announced my intentions and stated that I would follow the noise procedures yet the old man got on the radio and told me how to fly my departure. I can read the AFD thanks! And if that old man ever reads this he should know that unless he has an ATC license he should shut up!

The Oceanside City Council has agreed to study closing this little gem. This would be a tough one to lose...So close to I-5 and a walking path to the harbor. I know sailors who keep their boats here and fly down from other airports in SoCal. I hope they put up a fight. Please visit and buy a little fuel.

Great little airport, staff there is very helpful. DO NOT cross hwy 76 on foot, very dangerous. Call Enterprise and they'll pick you up. Upon departure, veer to the left and follow the river (in the Summer, it's dry) and watch out for low flying traffic along the coast as you depart on 24.
