I just returned from an epic journey from Vancouver Canada to San Diego to see the Red Bull Air Races. Along the way my flying partner and I needed to divert to a route that took us along the coast and we ended up in North Bend for a fuel stop. The staff at Ocean Air was amazing. Even though we were completely unannounced, there was a formal sign in the lobby welcoming us, a loaner car to pickup lunch from the city, great prices on fuel and genuine staff that can only be described as top notch. The facilities at Ocean are great - Briefing room, snooze bunk, boardroom, etc. Made us feel very at home. I will definitely be back and next time likely with my clubs as I hear there are some great courses out in North Bend. To the ladies at the Ocean Air front desk... You definitely made our day! The other FBO's we visited along the way were nice but you guys beat them hands down in service with a smile. Thanks again.

UPDATE: After talking with the management at Ocean Air I understand their business practice of standing down to the other FBO when they know a plane is going there. I appreciate the interest of Ocean Air to contact me and resolve my issue.

I have been flying into OTH for over five years and for the past two years I have been an Ocean Air customer. I fly into the airport at least once a week in with both jet and piston aircraft. Consistently Ocean Air is hands down the best FBO I have ever experience, in my 15 year career. Every time the service is fantastic, they hangar my aircraft for free, take my passengers to the resort for free and my rental car rate has always been $20 a day. They go above and beyond and I don't even have to ask, and their maintenance shop is top notch. I have met the owner and he is a seasoned pilot who genuinely cares about the industry. I have also closely watched their business and they give this service to ALL of their customers. I recall the other guy's fuel price was double (when they were the only FBO) and no service.

My company has been personally dealing with Ocean Air for over a year now. I would just like to tell anyone considering using this FBO that the staff is kind and caring with great attention to detail in making your flight experence the best possible. Ocean Air has let us store our plane in their hangar at no charge during extended visits. They always give great service to all that visit their FBO from personal planes to Jets. This really is a great group of people that I would recommend to anyone looking to have a positive visit to our own Bay Area Airport.

I have been Flying out of North Bend for over a month for work. Ocean Air never attempted to greet our plane and after watching their business practice if you're not a jet they don't care for your business.

A great experience as the FBO we used for our Bandon Dunes golf adventure. The car was ready; the staff was helpful, professional and organized. I fly a six-passenger Cessna; my guests were treated just like the Jet-A crowd.

Don't even think of going to that other place. Ocean Air is the best! Great staff inside and out. The facility down to every detail is like a fine hotel or upscale private golf clubhouse. With all the above you would think the price of gas would be higher to pay for it all, but I always put on extra fuel at Ocean Air because the price of fuel is lower.

Model FBO. From the first phone call to the last wave good by, these folks did it right! Linemen met our C182, helped transfer our bags to the waiting rental car while Megan was helpful with suggestions and directions. Great facilities on the end of "FBO row" make for a quick gas and go or an easy to find RON spot. Restaurants and hotels are crew car close. Clearly a super place to stop

I flew into North Bend a couple nights ago in a small Cessna. I originally stopped at Coos Aviation, and while waiting for the fog to lift the next morning, decided to walk over to Ocean Air. They have the fanciest facility I have seen. However, I found it irritating that they wouldn't let me walk out their door (to the ramp side) unless I was escorted, even if I had an airplane out there. This must be an airport policy as Coos Aviation has a keypad lock on their fence to get out there also. This was the first time I had experienced something like this, having to look through the fence at my airplane unless I was going to specifically do something, like get my luggage (and then it would be with an escort). Other than that, both FBOs were very friendly and helpful.

Awesome FBO went out of their way to make car and hotel reservations for me and the other pilot. They even gave us free hangar for our Citation V for 4 days! All the employees were great, it was the best FBO I have been to.

"First Cabin" experience. I arrived in a Bonanza and they treated my party and my aircraft like I arrived in a G5. I have never had this much attention and detail given my aircraft by any FBO. Highly recommended by this pilot.

Ocean Air is truly the "crème de la crème!" It is owned and operated by professional pilots and it shows! From the pilots lounge to the passenger lobby and beyond! Most importantly, customer service is the best I've come across in a long time. Thanks and I will definitely be back.

Ocean Air has taken Galvin's spot as the FBO in the Northwest with the best service. We've gone in there three times this year, most recently last Sunday. Each time we have found the service to be helpful, friendly, courteous and competent way beyond our expectations. Definitely the FBO of choice for your trips to Bandon Dunes.

We will avoid this airport like the plague in the future! Both FBO's on the field gave us very courteous and professional service. But the airport management and security were another story. From the moment we landed we were treated like suspected terrorists, which is odd considering what an out-of-the-way little Podunk North Bend is. Just walking out on the ramp to our aircraft was viewed as highly suspect, and required a full security escort. The only place I've personally experienced ramp security this tight was at Andrews AFB. How ridiculous! Airport security is important these days, but when it is applied with a total lack of common sense and judgment it's just a shame.

An excellent FBO... All FBO's should strive for this kind of very personalized service. Ms. Denise, D'Anna, and Elizabeth are phenomenal, they really went overboard in making the flight crew feel welcome. D'Anna even made dinner reservations for the crew. The FBO reflects the beauty of the Oregon Coast.

My company operates a Turbo Commander and a Merlin 111B and have been bringing charter clients to OTH. The staff and quality of this FBO is outstanding. Ocean Air has brought a level of service and quality of facilities that stimulates an airport, which probably has lived on its laurels for many years.

I flew my Merlin IIIC into North bend on a Friday night for some last minute maintenance. The Ocean Air staff took care of all of my maintenance, hotel and aircraft logistic needs. Flew into North Bend 1 May 06 with our Falcon 2000. First time back in eight years, only one FBO choice then. Pleased to say I made the right choice this time with Ocean Air, quite simply the finest FBO experience I've ever had, anywhere. From line service, crew & pax transportation, accommodations, flight planning/crew rest facilities, they are superb in every respect. Everyone whom I came in contact with projected a genuine attitude of helpfulness and desire to excel. Facilities are immaculate and perfectly designed for pilot/passenger needs in every respect. For me they have become the benchmark for superior FBO performance.

The folks at Ocean Air are really wonderful. I flew in there a week back in a Cardinal and felt like I had just come in in a Gulfstream. I was on a tight schedule (tee time at Bandon Dunes) and the rental car was ready and off I went. Next day I called before I drove to the airport and they had everything ready to go.

I arrived at Ocean for the first time in a Cherokee. The gas was an awesome price at 2.89 which was nice, and the lounge and bathrooms really surprised me. When we asked for a ride in town we were turned down because the many vans outside were needed for if a Jet arrived. Teenagers aren't high priority. After our walk into town an hour and a half later, the Jet wasn't there. Other than that, the service at the FBO was good. I recommend using Ocean over the other FBO.

We arrived at Ocean Air on a quick turn and were greeted with top notch customer service. I have been a flight attendant on Charter Jets for 5 years and have encountered many FBOs. And this was a very pleasurable experience. We were greeted on the ramp by the staff that was there to help us every step of the way. They had fresh coffee, ice, and newspapers waiting for every flight and made sure I had everything I could possible need. The facility was nicely set up for crew and passenger comfort, and had excellent customer service. I highly recommend Ocean Air.

This year when I arrived, we were marshaled in to Ocean Air Aviation (by choice) and parked at the front door of a Brand New modern FBO. On our quick-turn, we were fueled (2500 Gal), picked up the weather for the next leg (from WSI-Weather), checked our email on the (2) other computers, received a quick tour of the facility and we were ready to go in less than 20 minutes. As soon as you open the door to the FBO, it is obvious that it was designed by a Pilot for Pilots. The owner's previous aviation experience is apparent in every aspect of this operation. As a Gulfstream G-II charter pilot, I frequent FBO's all over North America and this one is topnotch.

I am a professional pilot and have been coming into the North Bend Airport for three years. I have been going to Coos Aviation but on this trip I decided to give the new FBO Ocean Air Aviation a try and since they are directly on the ramp I pulled up right on their front door where they greeted me. WOW, it is the nicest FBO with the best service I have ever experienced. I am going to nominate them for the FBO of the Year. I also notice the fuel price on the field has dropped about $1.50 a gallon since they opened. Support Ocean Air and keep the fuel price down.

Well Now! Not only was today a great day to fly on the Oregon Coast, but to experience the beauty, comfort and service of North Bend"s newest FBO...Ocean Air, was simply a pleasure totally unexpected! An absolute must is a tour of the sparkling new facility, so just ask for one. And, don't miss out on the restrooms with individual terry-towels, no less.
