Many trips to Payson over the years with terrific experiences. Myra stayed late to give us fuel one night and had a smile on her face the entire time. Beth is great to work with setting up a campsite and Gary is always ready to help. Great team!

Stopped on the way to Utah. Very convenient for fuel, restrooms and food. Restaurant is right by the ramp parking. Could be a challenge in strong winds with "the Rim" and mountains in the area. Lodging near by but we did not stay.

Stopped by Payson Airport for a few days of camping on the airport campground. The only problem that we incurred was the lack of a courtesy car and no rental cars or reliable taxi service. If you need supplies from town, you are absolutely out of luck. It is a long hike to the Wal Mart and supermarket and nobody from the FBO offered to give any of the campers a ride into town. The FBO is purely a fueling operation. They have a very small office on the ramp near the restaurant with limited pilot supplies. No marshalling or assistance with passengers or baggage is offered.

Today I received a very apologetic and professional letter from Robert Oswald, iwner of Payson Aviation FBO. His response was most appreciated. He assured me that Payson does accept AirBoss and that the matter with the line personnel had been handled. Since I am based near Payson, I'll be back and certainly consider purchasing fuel in the future.

Stopped in Payson for lunch. Purchased fuel when we were ready to leave. Showed our AirBoss card but they refused to give the .10 discount. Last time we buy fuel in Payson.
