The folks at Pellston Regional are exceptionally friendly and helpful. They were great at helping to arrange hangar space during my stay in the area. Keep an eye out for birds around the airport...

The Pellston Regional Airport is one of the premier regional airports in the nation. The level of service and friendliness is unmatched at any airport I have ever been too. The GA staff is very helpful with lots of information about the local area. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure the customer is taken care of. From hotel, to rental cars to restaurants, they do it all. The ramp staff is excellent for fuel service, luggage service and snow removal. They also go out of their way to be helpful. The commercial terminal is a thing of beauty. It really has a Hunting lodge/Northern Michigan feel. If staying overnight, I suggest the Holiday Inn Express that is located just across the street. The prices are fair and the rooms are clean and comfortable. The recent addition of wireless Internet has also been very helpful, as I am there 30+ nights a year.

This can be a very busy airport on the weekends with lots of turbine-burners coming and going. The Pellston crew has always given us friendly, exceptional service and handled our needs promptly. There is no vehicle access to the ramp, but you will be met at your airplane with a golf cart to transport passengers and luggage to the FBO. All the basics are there - lounge, snooze room, etc. There is a weather/internet computer available in the flight planning room. I do not recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Express across from the airport - the rooms are a rip-off and reek of smoke. Much nicer and less expensive hotels are available in Mackinaw City approximately 20 minutes north. Also make sure to check out the Village Inn restaurant in the terminal for a nice, wholesome meal.

The pellston crew is simply one of the best! If snow removal were a college course these guys would be the professors.... I always feel safe knowing the runways are in good shape when the snowy weather sets in.

The guys in Pellston are some of the best I've dealt with. They were extremely helpful, and courteous.
