Flew in, they were there to meet me and took great care of the plane. Great group of people. Pleasure to fly in to Pellston.

I would like to take this opportunity to second the previous comments regarding the friendly outstanding service at PLN. One of the line personnel, Scott, went out his way to make our both arrival and departure pleasurable experiences when we had to deviate to PLN unexpectedly because our planned destination went (and stayed) below minimums. All of the people there are wonderful and they turned what could have been a frustrating experience into a delightful memory. This is one of the very best FBO's I've seen in over 40 years of active participation in general aviation. PLN will be my destination of choice on all my trips to upper Michigan.

I flew to PLN to pick up a friend a few weeks ago. The staff was friendly and the facilities were some of the nicest I have seen in GA. There was a cozy lounge with a fireplace, which was perfect for the cooler weather. The facilities were clean, and though I didn't require it there was a room with bunk beds for the fatigued pilot. We were able to walk the to next building over (for commercial flights) and eat at the restaurant. The food was very good and at a fair price. Additionally, the restaurant, being on the second floor, offered an excellent view of the field with panoramic windows. Best of all I stayed on tie down for two nights, one planned and one due to weather, and there were no landing or tie down fees for my single engine piston. I would certainly stop here again if I am ever in the area.

Stopped for fuel going to Mackinac. Great, friendly service. And no, they did not charge me a landing fee.

I flew up to Pellston to get a hangar for the summer. They are so friendly there, it's almost like there having a contest with KGLR for the friendliest airport in the nation. They have a great lobby a great restaurant next door and a great staff. Thank you

June 13, 2009 - I make several trips to Mackinac Island over the summer and fall, and always make PLN my quick stop at the end of the day to refuel. They ALWAYS provide immediate fuel service at my plane, and the prices are not out of line. First class lounge (like a high-end living room!) and bathrooms. Quick turn and very friendly service.

Food at the Village Inn Restaurant (don't confuse it with the national chain) in the terminal is excellent. The all-you-can-eat fried chicken special on Sundays is hard to beat. I was surprised there weren't more GA pilots there to eat on a beautiful Sunday - only one plane on the ramp.

Stopped in on Monday for a quick pit stop. Immediate service and helpful staff. Thanks for everything!
