I have been flying into Presidio Airport for 7 years now. It is a fantastic place to visit and breathe the wonderful fresh air! I am not aware of anywhere else in the State with such consistent terrific flying weather! Now, with all of the amazing improvements to this airport it is a MUST visit! Runway is in perfect shape, AWOS is up and running and can be received at least 30nm out. Courtesy car is available, free Wi-Fi, an available hangar, nice tie-downs, a clean porta-potty, the coolest artwork on a trashcan I've ever seen; and absolutely the LOWEST PRICE fuel within 200 miles!

Nice airport. Have been going there for years. 2 nice motels in town and several small restaurants. Discovered a Chinese restaurant near the high school, which was nice. Only one fast-food restaurant-Subway. Very good access to Big Bend state park and the fort. Be sure to tie airplane down-wind and dust can blow up near afternoon storms. Fuel price a little high- would draw more transients if it were lower.

Flew in to this RURAL airport while exploring the rugged and beautiful Big Bend area. The long runway was in excellent condition. New self-serve fueling station is in place. Cheapest fuel in the area. New AWOS was picked up 30 miles away. Good fuel stop in a remote part of the State. Response from Chase Snodgrass, Airport Manager, Presidio County
